Up for consideration is a very nice restored victorian trunk. It has been cleaned well inside and out. All hardware and wood has been lightly sanded then sealed with a satin finish for protection. New leather handles were put on. The inside has been tastefully recovered. It has dated latches that read" July 1. 73. Inside the trunk the lid stay is also dated 1870. Marcrest GAY NINETIES dinner plate,1 of 7,antique furniture decoration
VINTAGE dishes with the most charming of patterns. The reverse side has all sorts of information. Without ever saying the manufacturer's name! However, the underside of the cereal bowl has the logo, a stylized eagle or thunderbird. These are hand painted under the glaze, some minor crazing, and otherwise in excellent condition. These dishes are such fun and it won't be difficult to round out the set, as I see a certain amount of these pieces are available. I have more than what you see in the ITEM TITLE so check my other listings and I will combine shipping. 4 Antique Vintage 1 3/4" Wheels Casters White Porcelain Furniture Old
These are 4 antique vintage white porcelain casters with cast iron. The caster wheels are about 1 3/4" in diameter and 5/8" wide(one oddball may be about 1/16" wider and larger in diameter than the other three) Three have shafts of 2 11/16" long. That taper down to about 1/4" The other caster has a shaft 3" long, with a 7/16" diameter knob on the end. This shaft also has tapered down to 1/4" just beneath the knob as well. Period Antique Queen Anne footstool, vtg, pegged,wood,cloth,old furniture,stool
A Queen Anne style antique footstool being offered as found in the basement of an estate sale years ago. I purchased it with a full intent of having it restored and recovered. But it is untouched from when it was acquired. Since it is pegged, I thought that it may be period, but I am not an expert in this field. It probably is at least 19th century in age. My thoughts were that it was probably English, but I do not know the exact origin either. The four thick secondary woods appear to be pine. I am not sure of the legs, maybe chestnut? The pine forming the legs is quite thick measuring about 1 1/2" in thickness. The four sides appear to have peg holes for joining, yet the pegs are missing. Each leg appears to be made in 3 parts. The main part has a peg and is attached to the pine with the peg(a small crack is visible and I can see the ... morepeg) Each side piece of the leg is also attached with a peg. The stool is very sturdy, so I think someone has applied nails at a later period to provide strength. I definitely see nails. I believe that most of the nails on the sides were from old upholstery. There is a cloth top, but I think that the stuffing was applied ontop of the top. The stool measures about 18" in length, 15 1/2" in width and about 10" tall(now, without cushion top) It is in good condition as shown, but needs to be reworked to be functional and possibly refinished if that look is desired. It is being offered as found and untouched by me.

Antique furniture Buffett "George Henshaw"
This is a sideboard/buffett made by George Henshaw and Sons of Cincinnati Ohio. It is tiger oak has a Bevel Mirror. Lions Heads on each side of the mirror and Claw Feet. Bow Front Drawers in the center, and one Long Drawer all the way across the bottom. George Henshaw operated out of Cincinnati from apx 1840 till his death in 1881. After that the company name was changed to George Henshaws' Sons(not AND Sons) so the label on the back clearly dates the piece to this time frame. It is very sturdy and in overall Great Condition. It has a few marks on the front edge of top and some of the drawer handles are not complete. The lions head on the left side of the mirror was broken off but has been doweled and glued back on. Aloha'Oe ~ a most unusual piece by Shapland& Petter of Barnstaple. Devon. The Shakespearean backboard bears King Henry's name and is quoting The Prince of Wales: King Owain Glyndŵr the IV(1354-1416) The"SHE" is referring to Princess Catrin of Wales(d.1413) Catrin. Like Liliuokalani, was a musically gifted female monarch from a tiny island kingdom. Both musical prodigies were unjustly stigmatized as*barefooted traitors. Both were robbed of their thrones and both were imprisoned at royal palaces.The presumed gifter is Buckingham Palace(Queen Victoria) but the most exciting thing about the piece is that Liliuokalani's never-before-seen musical notations can be found on the interior ... moreshelving! Ownership is as follows: 1891 ~ HM Queen Victoria 1891-1893 ~ HM Queen Liliuokalani 1893-2006 ~ President Sanford B. Dole. The Overthrowers and their descendants(113 yrs. 2006-2013 ~ Private Estate Condition: The podium had been stored in the dark& away from children for more than*100 years so the rich mahogany finish is in remarkable condition. We note minimal dings& scratches and a chip on one leg. The back molding that holds the two metal panels in place has been hastily removed& partially put back and the royal blue fabric that highlights the crowned-bird panel is likely replacing a piece of broken slag glass. Historical accounts of the overthrow suggest this damage occurred in 1895 when. While attempting to try her for treason, soldiers tore the imprisoned queen's furniture apart searching for hidden documents. A 19th century sketch of the podium describes the metal adornments as having an oxidized-silver finish. Typically, years of polishing wear-away silver but in this case Liliuokalani could well-have had the silver removed to better match the gold decor in The Blue Room or Gold Room(The Music Room) at Iolani Palace. Perhaps classic collection of pictures is a better description, as what Miller set out to do was create an encyclopedic survey of American furniture forms and styles down to“about 1840” In this he succeeded, drawing heavily on many private collections in the Baltimore area as well as other archives. Semowich notes that“it is still considered a standard reference book” whose“usefulness lies in its photographs” and Homer Eaton Keyes, editor of the Magazine Antiques, praised the book in its Foreword as a good tool to acquiring“the fundamental knowledge ... moreessential to a correct stylistic analysis of any reasonably pure example of old-time American furniture” Keyes went on to tackle one problem with all the pictorial surveys of the era in one of his better flights of literary fancy. This piece is really something to see! Salesman Sample Vanity Dresser with 3 Drawers I am unsure of the origin/maker; it is marked with a"KL" or"V" I can't quite tell) with the number 45 underneath. It appears to be skillfully crafted by hand. I am unaware if the red paint was original or added at a later date. The entire sample is constructed out of wood. Even the small knobs, and the mirror has signs of aging from it's time period. The style almost looks oriental. But either way it is very beautiful! It measures 11.25" wide. 19" tall to the tip of vanity, and about 5" deep. Each drawer measures about 9 5/8" x 4" x 2" MAKE US AN OFFER! Silver and ceramics, and an extraordinary assortment of antique linens& textiles. Parham Park is an Elizabethan house in Cootham. Between Storrington and Pulborough, West Sussex, South East England, originally owned by the Monastery of Westminster and granted to Robert Palmer by King Henry VIII in 1540. The foundation stone was laid in 1577 by the two year old Thomas Palmer, and Parham has been a family home ever since. Thomas Bishopp(later Sir Thomas Bishopp, 1st Baronet) bought ... moreParham House in 1597. For 325 years his descendants continued to live at Parham House Estate until January 1922. Then in 1922 the Hon. Clive Pearson, younger son of Viscount Cowdray, bought Parham from Mary, 17th Baroness Zouche in her own right, and he and his wife Alicia opened the house to visitors in 1948, after the Second World War when it had also been home to evacuee children and Canadian soldiers. Off the Long Gallery at the top of the house there is a fascinating exhibition which touches on the period between 1922 and 1948, with many family photographs as well as photographs of the building works which took place during that time. Antique Boston, Mass., Paine Furniture Roman Style Italian Renaissance Chair

This is an Italian Renaissance, Roman Style chair from Paine Furniture Company of Boston, Massachusetts. It has been reupholstered(maybe the wood refinished too? by an antiques refinishing company here in the Orlando, Florida area. It measures 33" x 22" x 20" and is made of a light weight wood but I don't know what kind, maybe Rosewood? It has some cracks and scrapes evident that hopefully you can see in the photographs I have taken. The back rest design appears to be inlaid with a floral looking decoration. I still sit in the chair so it is still functioning but I am kind of not heavy. I'd date this chair to about the late 1800's ... moreto very early 1900's. It has a the brass plate from Paine furniture on the bottom of the chair. This piece is being sold, AS IS and will have to be sent via Grey Hound more than likely because of it's size.
