Wind-up toys, or other.I don't know much about these keys except ... morewhat I have gleaned from the internet-and I still don't know much. They have various bores ranging from two with 1/8" square bores(one has rust inside which I think could be cleaned and the other seems to have something inside the bore that could be cleaned out) two appear to be the same but the bores look different sizes-1/8" to 3/16" if my measurement is correct. One bore seems to be squared on one side and rounded on the other and the similar key almost seems to have a notched bore with a similar shape. One key is bent on the top probably from use. As for the two largest keys, one seems to have almost a clover like bore( which is about 3/16" and the largest key has a 3/16" square bore. I found some of these when cleaning out a shed man years ago, among others, and I think one or two belonged to my mother. All my collections are being sold off. Please see pictures and ask any questions you might have. I will answer promptly as best I can. The photos with the blue background were taken first and I added those with the purple background later to try to show the keys more exactly since I really can't describe them correctly. Shipping is by USPS first class; buyer is responsible for shipping costs. I combine shipping on multiple orders if purchased within the same week and paid for at the same time. The clock is an electric clock but I don't believe this is the cases original clock. The original most likely having been of a wind up mechanism and with deeper workings. The original winding mechanism possibly being fitted into the base as there is a hole in the case here. I am not absolutely sure of the type of wood the case as I am not very good at judging different types but it may be mahogany. It is difficult to put an exact date on the clock as it appears to have some of the Art Nouveau style of decoration as well as of the Arts and crafts period so could possibly be right at the end of the Arts Nouveau period beginning of the Arts and Crafts period showing a combination of the two styles. The electric clock is wired and with plug but this absolutely would need to be checked by an electrician if required for use. The clock does work but is sometimes needs a bit of a jiggle to get it started and as the clock is set deeper than it would be in it's original case it is also a bit of a fiddle to adjust the fingers although it can be done. Other than the above mentioned the clock is in lovely condition showing just one or two minor surface marks but with no chips to the carving. Snips, cracks or damage and with the many pictures giving a good representation of condition and where it can be judged on it's own merit, so please do check these out carefully before bidding. Seth Thomas Antique Clock Movement #120 Mantle Clock Movement
Great movement has original glass bezel and dial. It came with the hands but I am unsure if they were Robinson to this movement. The dial and bezel are 7" across and the movement is 3 5/8" I don't know the type of clock it went to but I believe it was a mantle clock. This particular movement is for parts repair because it needs a thorough cleaning and I can not test it. It wasn't stored properly by its previous owner so there is dust and rust particles lightly on the surfaces of some parts in the movement. They blow off with a light bit of air pressure. Antique Vintage Heco Cuckoo Clock Chalet
Nice looking smaller Chalet Style Meco Cuckoo clock. Overall good condition only thing missing is small wood door on left side. Can easily make a new one out of bass or basis wood. I set the clock up and started the pendulum and it would work fora very short time. 30 seconds up to a couple of minutes then it would stop. Clock hands did move when clock was ticking. Chains pull properly was not able to get cuckoo to come out or any music but didn't really fool with it too much. I am not guaranteeing that it works but nothing seems to be really badly wrong with it. Nice clock. I never liked the style of Cuckoo Clocks, but this one is actually quite nice. Antique/Vtg 1 Day Germany Musical Black Forest Haufbauhaus Animated Cuckoo Clock
Here is a very attractive older 1 day wooden hanging wall clock which chimes on the hour and half hour. It was one of Emil Schmeckenbecher's favorite designs and inspired by the famous Hofbrauhaus at the Marion Platz in Munich Germany. The Hofbrauhaus is the actual birthplace of the annual Oktoberfest in Germany and I believe it still hosts the event. At least in part. This is an uniquely-designed, full featured cuckoo clock that was produced in the Black Forest about 40 years ago in what was then, West Germany" It is a full featured clock, and one of the most unique ever produced. This clock is made from cured and aged Linden wood which is grown nearly exclusively at certain altitudes of the Black Forest. The case is made to look very much like the front of the old"Hofbrauhaus" in Munich Germany; it's still there though ... morethe beer drinking only goes on inside the establishment and only until 10:30 pm, a far cry from what it used to be! It is lavished with colorful window trim and. Flowers, and a heart shape near the very bottom. The left window is missing a sash and some trim. There is a carved wooden platform near the bottom complete with rail fences on each end. Colorful flower sprays, and a colorful Bavarian man on either side of the dial sitting atop a beer keg.of course. It has a banner featuring the Hofbrauhaus name and a Lowenbrau logo at the very top. There is a colorfully painted wooden scroll trim under the eaves and wooden timbers on the roof top, much like the real ones that were designed to hold the roof on during inclimate weather. There is a wooden door at the very back embossed with the words. West Germany" and held in place with two metal latches. The door easily removes to allow access to the all metal, weight driven, Regula" movement signed by Schmeckenbecher. A weight driven movement simply means that the chains need to be pulled occasionally to wind the clock, cuckoo, and music. Antique Mahogany 8 Day Grandfather Clock Made In England Circa 1840.
This is a very nice 8 day Grandfather clock circa 1860. lt has been fully restored the case and the mechanism. Its in working order, but l won`t sell it as working, because some times when you ship a clock it can disturb the movement. The Clock is attributed to William A Davies. This was actually in Wales not England a place called Cardigan, which has all the original paintwork on the face with his name and place. To the top there is a rocking ship that goes back and forward with the ticking of time. The clock strike`s loudly on the hour announcing the time through the house. We have the original pendulum, key and weights. lts a very impressive large grandfather clock and in very good condition. There is a small crack to the bottom panel, which really is the only thing l would say bad about the clock. Measurements are 104 inches tall. 23 ... morewide,11 deep.

It has an 8-day time and strike heavy duty movement. The clock strikes on the half hour and counts the hours on a very large cathedral gong with a wonderful sound! The Crystal is Not There, Painted Dial Has Soiling, It is a 3 Winder with 2 Holes at the top for SILENT& CHIME and the Numbers are Raised Above the Dial, Movement has the last Patent date at 1923, and it has 4 Chimes. The Case LOOKS OAK but I am No Expert on Wood, may be some other type. Measurements of the case are Widest 21 1/4" X 10" Tall X 5" in Depth. Antique 1880's Seth Thomas 8-day Ships Wall Deck Clock Oak Case Last weeks transaction is being cancelled so the item is being relisted. Believed to have been salvaged from the USS Wachusett when it was decommissioned from naval service in 1885. Has the twin barrel Seth Thomas model 10 Movement for 8-days of run time- this dates it to no earlier than 1880 when they started making this movement. This corresponds to its history after its next to last refit- Time only- it does not have ships bells Oak Case appears to have been laquered within the last 50 years or so. Original dial and antique key which also appears original. Has a seconds bit on top part of the dial. Case has supports on top and bottom to prevent rocking with the ship movements 8 inches in diameter with a 6 inch dial Movement was hand cleaned and oiled Brass keyhole trim ... morepiece is missing from the right side dial hole When servicing the clock I noticed that there was a pencil mark on the inside of the case that says"1885 Wachusette CWPhilip" The name Wachusett is mis-spelled- with an e added(this suggsts that the writer may have been of French descent where words often end in-ett e) From the internet I discovered that the ship was decommisioned out of naval service in 1885 and sold in 1887 as a commercial vessel. The last naval captain was John Woodward Philip( that means the CW should actually be a JW) From the errors I assume that the note was written by either an original salvager or someone after the fact who wanted to document where it came from. With some errors in his knowledge- hence the errors in the notation. The Wachusett was a wooden sloop fitted with nine guns(including a turretted cannon) by the Union side during the civil war. It participated in the blockades of Confederate ports during the war. The last photo is a rendering of the ship I found on-line NOTE: I cannot authenticate the notations in the clock case but it does appear to have the general facts right- although it has those errors mentioned above. Early 1900's Antique Wood Wall Clock with Storage Vintage Ocean Ship Scene Made In West Germany For Repair or Parts Offering a wonderful antique wall clock for repair or parts. You can tell that it is definitely an old piece from the style. The floral design on the body and the picture of the ships and old lighthouse. It measures about 21 1/4" long and 7 1/4" at the widest point. The little cupboard measures about 2 3/16" deep on the outside. The clock body is mostly wooden with decorative metal sides and a metal cover with bubble glass over the clock face ~ and it is hinged. The wood has a natural crackle finish from age and it's really beautiful. The clock features a faded floral garland- the flowers look like they might be pansies. The little cupboard at the bottom measures about 1 1/2" deep by 6 5/8" long ... moreand 2 7/8" high on the inside. The clock face says: Eight Day 4 Jewels. The back is signed: Made in West Germany. It measures 24" in top-to-bottom height with the octagon being approximately 17-1/4" in diameter. The clock face measures 12" in diameter. The wood and graining is stunning. But the wood-type is unknown to me. Possibly walnut or rosewood? It is in good condition with a rich and warm patina overall without much wear at all barring a small bit of wood damage to the right side of the octagon(view close-up ... morephoto) The metal face plate has large-sized Roman numeral letters and it is in good condition with only light scratch markings and wear. The brass retaining ring is very dulled/dirtied on the exterior. The glass is in good condition, but does not fit tightly in the retaining ring. It will be packed separately for shipment. Also the"minutes" hand has been crafted from a thick paper and was finished to match the other hand. This replacement was well-done and is not noticeable until very close inspection. There is no way to fasten the pendulum to the movement, so at least the suspension spring is missing. Possibly other small parts as I know only a tiny bit about clocks. There is no key with the clock, so its working/non-working condition is completely unknown. The wood has dulled with age and storage and the interior of the clock case is very dirty. There is a small bit of old adhesive residue found to the underside of the drop that should be removed as well during the cleaning of this lovely clock.
