PR. of 19TH CENTURY GREEN PAINTED TIN TOLE DECORATED ARGAND LAMP type SCONCES
This is a wonderful and scarce Pair of 19th Century Green Painted Tin Tole Decorated Argand Lamp type Sconces. They each measure approximately 9-3/4" tall. The construction of cut and rolled edges and form matches on both examples. The hand decoration shows similar characteristics. But with subtle differences, leading us to believe they were decorated by different people in the workshop. Both show a ge appropriate wear and losses to the paint decoration. Only one retains the removable fuel tank inside the housing. The other retains only the top visible portion of the fuel tank. There are minor dents. Wear and losses as shown in the photos. The only visible markings are hand written'No 294' on the back of each. We lean towards an American origin attribution. But we leave that final determination to the buyer. The form is not often ... moreseen. Let alone with original decoration, they would certainly be a wonderful addition to any early lighting collection or to accessorize a 19th century country or primitive setting. There is a filter between just inside the top of the shade and just above the light bulbs. The light turns off and on with a switch on the cord. It is in near-perfect shape. You are bidding on a fantastic vintage tole lamp in the French Bouillotte style. The lamp measures approximately 25.75" tall from bottom to top of finial. The base is approximately 7.25" wide at it's widest point. The shade meaures approximately 15" in diameter and is approximately 6.5" tall. This lamp features 3 candle style sockets that take standard size bulb stems. A classic tole metal shade, and the original arrow shaped finial. It's black in color with fabulous gold detail embellishments. The lamp works beautifully. The switch can be twisted to 4 different positions-off. 1 bulb lit, 2 bulbs lit, or all 3 bulbs lit. One of the plastic candle socket covers has some cracking. This could easily be replaced or positioned to be conspicious. This is a Beautiful Vintage Black and Gold Tole Lam p colonial/federal design( about 40 years old or more which makes it used or pre-owned) It is black with hand painted stenciled in It has some scuff marks here and there but nothing that actually deters it from looking wonderful. The electric cord is secure and the switch works fine. The lamp globe that holds the shade is scraped a bit from the black metal on the shade( this has now been swit ched to better globe) Considering it's age it's seems to have held up very well. It is 28 inches tall to the top of the tole lamp shade and 30 inches to tip of lamp. 6 inches wide at base( as of which does still have the felt covering very much intact) 40 inches around the widest part of the shade, shade itself is 6 inches tall/long and 12 3/4 inches wide. The base is very heavy and sturdy. ... morePlease take into consideration that the flash reflects or picks up every little mark but to the naked eye does not appear as such. And the marks are not nearly as noticeable. UPDATE. New pics and a Changes.The globe has been replaced with one with no black scrapes! It is about an inch shorter than the other one. But please note that this newer lamp globe may experience the same black scraping when removing or replacing lamp shade as the inside black metal of shade is what causes the marks. So if you buy just be careful when removing shade. Charming small vintage toleware 3 light bouillotte lamp measuring 18 inches tall to the top of the finial ring with a narrow base measuring 4 inches in diameter The lamp has three candle sockets each taking a small bulb. The bulbs are on a 3 way switch The wiring has been checked and is working well as is the switch The candle covers are replaced. The lamp shows wear with some minor losses to the paint decoration. Louis XVI Tole Bouilotte Lamp with Marbleizing & Stenciled Pastoral Scenes
Louis XVI tole bouilotte in the shape of an 18th C. oil lamp with marbleized paint and stenciled pastoral scenes on the shades and a stenciled decorative band on the body. Shade has an arrow shaped adjuster to allow for it to be raised or lowered and the original brass finial. In very good condition with no damage- no scratches. Dents, or paint loss. There are minor imperfections in the paint, as can be seen, that result from it being hand-painted. In good working order with two chandelier sized sockets and an inline switch. Probably French and made in the 1980's, but there are no identifications on the lamp. 24" to the finial, 14" to the sockets, 7" at the widest with a 5" square base. Exceptional and elegant.

Vintage Toleware PARTRIDGE In PEAR TREE Metal Leaves Tole Table Lamp Chippy 1950s to 1960s tole metal painted lamp with partridge/bird in a pear tree with a planter's pot base. The mid century lamp is wonderful; we think it started out it with a gilded pot base that was painted white- probably in the 1960s to late 1970s. There are 2 pears and 1 partridge amidst the leafy limbs. We think it was spray painted as redidual paint appears on the main stem and at least one lower leaf. Please see pictures. The lamp is fully functional and we believe the socket has been replaced- recently. We recommend rewiring or at the very least an electrical inspection. This is an adorable antique metal table lamp. Painted with tole style. This whimsical lamp is made like a drum majorette or dancing girl. Charming Vintage Italian Tole Lamp with Flowers Night Light Base
You are bidding on a vintage Italian tole lamp with flowers and a night light in the base. The lamp is unmarked. But I am certain it is Italian as I have been a long time collector of Italian tole lighting. It is post 1940. Lamp is predominantly yellow. The flowers and leaves are white; the flower centers are yellow. The base is remarkable for paint loss on its frontside. Notice the warm-toned light of the base. Lamp appears to have its original wiring and works perfectly. Always recommend that you consider updating the electrical parts on these vintage pieces. The lamp has metal flowers and leaves in various soft pastel colors. Below the flowers is a marble and gold painted wood base. The marble is very nice and has a translucent quality to it. It has an embossed"MADE IN ITALY" attached metal tag. This is an authentic piece of vintage Italian tole. Not a modern reproduction. The lamp measures approx. 22 1/2" tall from the base to the top of the socket. With the shade it is 33 inches tall. This is from an estate sale in Boone. Iowa and it is in great condition for its age of over 50yrs. The only signs of age I could find is that there is a very shallow chip to gold paint on the wooden base, which could be easily repaired with a little acrylic paint. Unique vintage(1960s) tole hurricane lamp. Tole is a soft pink(almost an off white color) with painted leaf border in brown. The lamp retains the frosted hurricane globe as well as the original tole shade. The lamp is in good condition with some wear/aging of the painted surface in a couple of areas. The tole has no chips or dents. The shade slides onto and rests upon the hurricane globe so there is some wear to the frosted finish. The wiring is vintage but in good. Working condition.
