PLEASE NOTE this piece is NOT marked but is identical and came from same NJ estate as the fruit tray that sold last week. They were probably once a pair. Nashco Products made a line of colonial revival hand painted tin serving trays in the period 1920-1950 post war years reminiscent of the antique pieces sold by peddlars house to house in the horse drawn wagon days. Now. In a growing homeowner America, where consumer demand for retail products grew, they found their niche in creating lovely tin articles for kitchen ... moreuse and display. This is a large Tole tray that measures 24" by 18" and is in very good condition. The front side features a flower motif on a green background. The back is solid green and has a label for Art Craft products. This tray is in very good condition. There is some paint missing around the edges And some missing where the sides meet the pan. PR. of 19TH CENTURY GREEN PAINTED TIN TOLE DECORATED ARGAND LAMP type SCONCES
This is a wonderful and scarce Pair of 19th Century Green Painted Tin Tole Decorated Argand Lamp type Sconces. They each measure approximately 9-3/4" tall. The construction of cut and rolled edges and form matches on both examples. The hand decoration shows similar characteristics. But with subtle differences, leading us to believe they were decorated by different people in the workshop. Both show a ge appropriate wear and losses to the paint decoration. Only one retains the removable fuel tank inside the housing. The other retains only the top visible portion of the fuel tank. There are minor dents. Wear and losses as shown in the photos. The only visible markings are hand written'No 294' on the back of each. We lean towards an American origin attribution. But we leave that final determination to the buyer. The form is not often ... moreseen. Let alone with original decoration, they would certainly be a wonderful addition to any early lighting collection or to accessorize a 19th century country or primitive setting. Small Primitive Vintage Hand Painted Toleware Tin Box Hinged Lid Spice Box or? I had the wonderful opportunity to meet and shop with another ebayer seller from out of town recently- a real catfish moment. Because we’ve talked for years, but never met! No surprises, just all fun and did we shop until we dropped! I have lots of very cool items for you that I will be listing all week. Enjoy! This old box is somewhat of a mystery to me. It's made from a metal that a magnet stick to- and it's light and definitely has the feel and weigh of tin. But if you look closely at the inside, it has a patination that looks very much like the pattern on galvanized steel(but this doesn't have the weight of steel) Look at my inside photos and see what you think- it's a first for me. The other thing that would support whether it's galvanized ... moreis that, although the metal shows darkness form age, it does not have rust- there's rust colored spots, but I do think that is from the paint. Whatever it's made of, it's held up very very well.this one is a charmer. Measuring 3" square and 2 1/2" tall, it is the size of the spice boxes that I have seen, but there's no name etc. on it. It weighs a smidge under 1/4 lb. It has a lovely hand painted finish- the background of the body is gold, and the top and bottom are black, and they are accented with flowers on all 4 sides in shades of rust, green, burgundy and grey. The top of the lid, and the sides of the lid have thin line hand painted borders too. The hinged lid works perfectly, and the lid fits well, and stays securely in place. It really is in excellent solid and sturdy condition overall- I can't find a ding. There is wear to the finish all over in small scratches and scrapes- it's easier to see at the solid black on top. There's also some palpable small white spots on all 4 sides- see photo 4 for a good example- those aren't paint chips, those are something on TOP of the paint- it feels like paper to me- as if this was wrapped i

It is also is about 1 1/8” deep. The handles left and right are circular rolled under. Please refer to the scan of the underside for reference. The stenciled design in cream. Green and red paint on both left and right sides is beautiful and carries over along the top and bottom sides. There appears to be an under wash of a copper color that shows through the paint in various areas and quite a lot on the reverse side. The piece of older tape on the reverse mentions the fact that at one time the piece had four balled feet, one at each corner. These however are no longer present. The character of the tray does not suffer with them missing. ... moreThe seams of the tin are tight with the exception of one ¾”slight split in the tin seam running from the base of the tray diagonally to the top corner. Nothing really serious. There are a couple of older light scratches in the base area. A great addition to any Toleware, Tole, Tin Painted Tin, Tableware, Primitive or Americana collection. Tin Tole Tip Tray Black Hand Painted Flowers Vintage
I don't know much at all about these things. its yard sale season and I try to grab vintage items no matter what they are) I actually had to search eBay just to figure out what to call it and to see what section to put it in. The tray is roughly 7 3/4 x 6 3/4 inches. I would give it a 94 to 95 out of 100% in condition. There are some small scratches that you have to hold the tray at an angle to see on the front. And a couple spots on bottom, but as you can see from pics it is a BEAUTIFUL- SOLID piece. I believe these are HAND Painted and this one is signed by the painter. TOO you can see on the back there is a HALLMARK stamp but I have no idea what company it is from. Thanks for looking!

For Sale is a 3 1/4" W by 4 1/2" Long Painted Tin English Box. Inside are adorable hand painted numbers from 1-8. The tin box is painted black with a lovely painting of three red/ pink roses with long greens and leaves. The tole numbers are painted black with pinks and blues making up the daisy- like flowers with green vines and leaves. Thereare tiny holes in the numbers for you to actually nail them and use them if you would like. They are absolutely adorable! I purchased these myself in an antique store about fifteen years ago. Butterflies, and bees. The handles and spout are painted yellow. Found in a storage room from my Mom's estate. Measurements are: from the tip of the spout to the back of the handle is approximately 16" It measures 13" tall to the top of the handle and 7 1/4" tall not including the handle. The bottom is 7 1/8" diameter. It is in wonderful condition. Maybe used for decoration only, because there is no rust inside. This would be so cute on a porch. .HAND PAINTED PATRIOTIC TIN PARKER CASE~ DATED 1860
This is a small Parker tin case dated 1860. The lid has a very well executed hand painted patriotic American Eagle clutching an olive branch and surrounded by blue stars. This is all hand done and most likely by a talented Civil War soldier. These little tin cases were very popular during the war to hold tobacco. Soap, sewing items, etc. This case has a nice untouched patina. The hinge works well and the lid closes tightly. This is a great little piece of American folk art. Antique Primitive Tin Toleware Box: Hand Painted, Black, Gold, Early 1900s
This little tin box is about recipe box size at 5-3/4" X 3-1/2" X 3-1/2" deep. It was acquired at an estate sale where all of the items being sold were from the late 1800s and early 1900s. It is hand painted and I believe the tole design is actually stenciled on with gold paint with red shading. The top. As shown in the photo, is a cluster of three cherries; the front and back panels have a swag with a little red flower in the middle; and the end panels have a daisy-like flower. The black paint job is not first rate: there are a few areas where the original drips and brush strokes can be seen and it has now become crazed. This is part of what makes this piece so very charming. The stenciling is mostly intact except for an area of paint loss on the largest cherry. Overall I would consider the box to be in nice condition given ... moreits probable 100+ year age. There are a number of small dents and dings. Nothing of real significance. The lid fits on and off as it should with a small amount of effort. There are a few small areas of paint loss, primarily around the edge where the lid has rubbed; there is one small"blob" of white paint right beneath where the top of the lid ends; and there is some surface rust on the interior including one pin-hole size area where light shows through. This is an estate piece being sold as is. As found. I cannot guarantee that it has not been exposed to odors: smoking, fragrance, cooking, mustiness, mothballs, other storage odors or pets.
