Antique 19th Century Sterling Silver& Bronze Religious Chalice with case. This chalice was used for many years during church services. The upper cup portion is Sterling Silver. The hallmark/stamps have worn away a bit with use and are hard to decipher(see photos) I believe the stamps to be French) The stem and base are Brass and Silver Plated. Most of the Silver plating on the stem has worn away. The base is engraved with leaves and one Pattee Alisee Cross. The chalice has not been cleaned and will be left as-is for the purchaser to care for as they choose. Overall this is a very beautiful piece! Fine French Solid Silver Chalice and Paten. 19th Century. Hallmarked Wonderful set of sterling silver chalice and paten. Made in France in the 19th century. Both pieces are in great condition and come into in an original antique case. The chalice boasts a sober and stylish design, with fire-gilt silver parts that enhance its beauty. This piece and the paten that comes with it bear hallmarks that guarantee the quality of the precious metal they are made of. This set is a nice antique and a magnificent sacred art piece that has survived to our days in excellent condition and shows off an exceptional beauty. The chalice’s design is singularly elegant. Boasting a sober style with a powerful decorative look. The base’s background is embellished with a squared motive over which a series of symmetrical petals display. These petals emerge from the ... morestem and are decorated with vegetal-inspired motives that remind the fleur-de-lis shape. One of them contains a Latin cross. The stem has two nodes, a smaller one and the main one, the latter with squared background and vegetal-inspired motives. The cup’s base reproduces the motive also engraved at the chalice’s base: a series of crossed petals with vegetal decoration and shapes inspired in the fleur-de-lis. The cup is flat, with no decoration at all and made of fire-gilt silver. The paten is only decorated with a subtle Greek cross and a circle. Both engraved in the center of the piece. The paten and the chalice are hallmarked depicting a Minerva’s head(indicating that the set was made in France) and the other being the silversmith’s mark. The chalice is hallmarked at the cup and in at the base. The set comes in an antique case that has contributed to protect the items so they have survived to our days in such good condition. It is an antique piece that dates from the 19th century. Both pieces have hallmarks that testify for their quality and origin. The set comes in its original case with key. Designed to store and carry it. The paten and the chalice’s cup are made of sterling silver and both pieces have survived to our days in great condition. The design that this set for the Eucharist boasts is classic and simple, being a piece with a high decorative power. The case is also well preserved and the lock works perfectly. The chalice’s stem and base are made of golden metal. While the cup is solid sterling silver. We can see two hallmarks in it, both located outside and near the edge. The cup is flat, and ... moreits inside surface is gold-plated. The base boasts an engraved decoration with classic vegetal-inspired motives and a Latin cross. It also bears a series of leaves that join at the beginning of the stem. The node located between the cup and the base is decorated in a similar way. 19th Century Tibetan Meditation Chair
Incredible craftsmanship has gone into building this beautiful chair! The seat is just short of being square. Measuring 17" x 18" The overall height is 32" and it is approximately 7" from the floor. The chair is held together by wooden dowels. The seat is a tightly woven rattan. The 20"+ back is a carved masterpiece involving the carved wooden plate inserted into the two equally ornately carved posts. The"feet" are approximately 3" in diameter and about 8" long. It would be difficult to sit on this and not meditate about its history!

Solid Silver Ciborium with Hallmarks and Hand-Engraved Decoration. France. 19th Century Magnificent antique French ciborium made of gold-plated sterling silver with hallmarks. This religious work of art dates from the 19th century and is in wonderful condition. Preserving its original style and beauty. The ciborium is decorated with hand-engraved motives, very elegant and that provide it with distinction and personality.A great antique. The ciborium’s base is ample and solid. Being decorated with hand-engraved motives that repeat all over the piece. We can see a fringe composed of slim semicircles and groups of four dots that create schematic flowers. At the stem’s base there are several gothic-inspired pointed sections containing simplified geometric vegetal details. The stem has a double node: a smaller and non-decorated one below and a ... morebigger one on top, engraved with the same gothic motives of the base. All these motives are shaded with punched zones that provide the reliefs with depth. The silver cup is flat. With no decoration at all. It stands on a base that grows from the stem as if it were a flower’s chalice. This chalice is composed of different geometric sepals with four sides each, decorated with the same motives of the ciborium’s base and main node. Crowning this piece, the lid is also decorated with hand-engraved motives. At the top of the lid there is a beautiful silver cross with the arms composed of beams and pineapples; this cross acts as a handle to lift the lid. All the ciborium’s parts(cup, stem, base and lid) bear the hallmarks that identify French silver and the silversmith that made the piece. This antique ciborium is a great sacred art piece.
