Vintage Metal Hand Painted Floral on Black Tole Tray Toleware Shabby Cottage
Vintage metal tole tray. Hand painted toleware. Black tray with a floral pattern and goldtone trim. Measures approximately 17" by 13 1/2" It is in well preserved condition with still bright popping colors. There is a small dent in the middle and a spot where the paint chipped away on the dent(top part of large pink flower in the middle) signs of wear from age and use, but still a beautiful tray! No rust. Back side of tray has scratches. Pretty tray with keyhole handles. All of my items come from a very non smoking home. The box has a beautiful ornate hand painted design on it. 4 large bun feet that measure 2" in diameter. The condition of the paint is very good but there are some very small scratches. Couple of chips and very minor rust(near one of the feet on the bottom) The inside and bottom are painted black and in very good condition. Vintage NASHCO Large Metal Hand Painted Teal Green with Gold Tole/Toleware Tray 20 1/4" Long x 15 1/4" Wide All Over(I'm calling it) Teal Green Color with Beatiful Hand Painted Gold Leaves and Vines. With a Hand Painted Gold Band where the Tray Bottom meets the Sides and Finished with Gold on the Top Outside Tray Rim/Edge. The Leaf Veins are Defined with Tinges of Black and Brown Tones. Cut Out Handles Vintage Condition- No Dents- Some scratches. Mostly around the top edge and on the underside from normal use and storage. Some oxidation spots. Minimal wear and scratches to the Graceful Leaf and Vine Design. There are some shiny spots on the tray surface that you really don't see unless you look across it into a light source. One worn spot on tray and a leaf in the lower right near the corner. Some wear to the gold painted ... moreedge. The Nashco label is attached. There is a spot on the underside where another label, probably the price sticker, was attached. This is a personal item that I received as a gift in 1963.
