Here's an old Florentine gold-gilt double oval wood plaque with some nice vintage pictures of children playing on it. As you can see. It's not perfect, but in pretty good shape considering this is one of the old ones. There are a few scratches on the paint(please see all pics) but not bad and it still displays very well. This plaque measures a little over 11 1/4" long and is almost 5 1/4" wide. It's 3/8" thick. It has a hanger on the back. You can see the age of the piece by looking on the back. Vintage Italy Florentine Gold Gilt Gesso Ornate Wooden Wood Trinket Box
Here's a very old Florentine wood with a gesso design. Gold paint/gilt trinket box with a romantic picture on top. It's small, measuring 4" square and is a little over 1 1/2" tall. It has 2 crude metal hinges on the back. The gold paint isn't perfect, and is scratched up here and there due to age, especially on the corners, but it is still nice and the gold paint that is there shines very brightly and it displays very well. I guess you'd say it has a very nice, overall patina. You can see how old it is by the inside of the box. The wood is sturdy. These boxes that have the gesso are the hardest ones to find if you are into collecting Florentine stuff! Shipping via USPS will be $3.00. I'm always happy to answer your questions.

This is a vintage. Gold gilt florentine magazine holder. Recently purchased at an estate sale, I am unsure of it's age. It is unmarked. In good, used and vintage condition, there are a few issues worth mentioning. Most importantly, there is a small dent and crack in the wood on one of the bottom edges. This can be seen in the second picture. In addition, it looks like there is another hairline crack on one of the feet. I can't tell if it is a manufacturing thing of a flaw. Finally, the entire piece has some paint loss and some small chips. The rack measures about 14 1/2" across, 17" tall and 7" deep. Still very pretty, it will make a useful addition to any room. From a Main Line Philadelphia estate is offered a nice vintage pair of petite wall shelves or brackets. Made of wood and gilded with gold. There is a left and a right. So a true pair. The most forward surfaces have bight gold gilding that looks to be water gilding. The rest is simply gold paint as are the tops. These are very ornate or rococo in style. Lots of curls and flourishes. A piece is missing from one. And there is paint or gilding loss to both. These are delicate light weight wood and usually show some breaks and crack with age. They are 6" wide at the back and 3" deep int he center. 5 3/4" long small hanging hook on the backs. They were hanging with small topiaries in ceramic jars on them when purchases at the estate sale. Vintage Magazine Rack Florentine Gold gilt wood magazine rack with a very detailed and beautiful design. Rack measures 15 3/4" tall. 15" wide and 8" deep. Handle slot in center with 2 separate compartments for magazines. No markings on the piece as to the maker or age. There are some imperfections in the piece. One of the scroll feet on the bottom has wear. One of the bottom rails has a broken piece which has been taped from underneath some time ago. There is also some scuffs and chippy paint. This pair of vintage 60's( Italian wood wall sconces or display shelves have an elaborate carved front side and a side scroll design. There is some loss of gold/gilt on some edges. There is wear on the top shelf areas. There is no indent on the sconce/ shelf top. The sconces each measure 5 1/8" by 3 1/8" and are 7 1/8" tall. Together they weigh 1#3oz. One has a red paper label that says"made in Italy" That one has it original triangular hooks as well as an added silver metal one. The other sconce has double paper labels from Dayton's with the original price of $13.00. It has its two original triangular shape hooks.

Five piece lot of all vintage Italian Florentine Gold Gilt Wood Picture Frames and Bird Prints. In this lot. One is a double oval picture frame which is all in gold gilt and it is in very good condition with its original paper sticker on the back stating that it is hand made in Florentia Italy. It measures 9" X 8" The second double picture frame is s rectangular one which opens up or unfolds with a hinge in between the two frames and holds them together. These frames measure(each one) 5 1/2" X 4 1/2" They are in good condition with very mild loss to their finish, but one is missing its peach satin back. This could be replaced with another piece of cardboard or replace both backings so that they look the same. The third item also is a double frame, but this one is made to look like a book and has a very pretty design on ... morethe two ends which show when it is folded. On the inside of one side is a print of St Francis with animals and on the opposite side is"A Simple Prayer" signed at the bottom St Francis. This one is in very good condition. For your consideration we are offering this lovely pair of vintage toleware wood plate and box. The plate has a finely detailed tole design is rich burgundy with gold and white. The wood plate or tray has a detailed carved edge. The plate has a sticker on the bottom. The sticker is old and difficult to read. However; made in Italy can be read and 20/0 on the top of the sticker. There are not any other marks on the plate that I can see. The box appears to have a rectangle shape area on the bottom that may have been where a stick once was located. There are not any marks on the box that I could see. I am guessing based on other examples similar to this box, that the box is probably also from Italy. I cannot say positively. The box has a traditional toleware design and is decorated in gold and white. I do not know the age of these two beauties. ... moreThey appear to have some age to them. They have the wear expected on these pieces from age and use. I will address the more apparent areas. The round plate or small tray has a section of wood which is raised on the face of the plate. There is some loss of gold in an area on this section. There are areas where the burgundy paint along the edge is pebbled. I do not know what this is from. I do not know if this can be removed, or if it is where something was spilled onto the plate. The plate and box have surface scratches from use and age. The box has wear on the bottom of the box at the corners and edges. Please see the photos to see the box and plate in more detail. The box is covered on the interior with green felt. The plate measures approximately 7 7/8” wide and the plate measures approximately 7/8” high from the table top. The box measures approximately 6” long with the lid closed and it measures approximately 4” wide. The box with the lid closed measures approximately 2 1/8” tall. Vintage Antique Gilt Florentine Mirror Gold Wood Framed Italy c. 1960
Great chance to bid on a vintage Florentine mirror with gold leaf gilt details. This mirror is typical of Italian souvenirs brought back from the"Grand Tour" in the 1950s or 60's. The size is approximately 6-1/2" x 8-1/2" I'm almost positive the mirror frame is wood. But it could be papier mache. This piece has a few scuffs here and there, but no biggie.
