Antique French Hand Painted Tole "Daffodil" Tray
Offered- a Beautiful Vintage French Tole Tray- featuring a bunch of Daffodils resting on- what I assume- is a table top. This tray is very large- measuring 23 3/4 inches by 17 1/2 inches. This is not a cheap tin tray- this tray is quite heavy at approx. 5 pounds. The tray shows a cluster of Daffodils and Daffodil buds against a teal-blue and light-green background. The Flowers. Buds and stems have been rendered beautifully. There is a gilt border around the rim of the tray. The back of the tray has been painted black. I think that this is a very unique piece- I have seen lots of Tole Trays but never one with the beautiful simplicity of this one. The colors are very nice and bright- there is slight crazing and a few scratches to the finish but nothing that distracts from the overall effect. This is one of my favorite things! VINTAGE/ANTIQUE TOLE PAINTED WOOD TRAY Beautiful roses design Please read entire description. I have had this for years and years. purchased at an estate sale) and I am now downsizing. This gorgeous tray is in structurally excellent condition(also note that the corners are dove-tailed, or tongue and groove construction ~ very nice) The painted floral design is excellent. In good color, and the paint is beautifully textured ~ slightly raised here and there. All along the edges of the tray. The black paint is scuffed, giving it a naturally charming vintage distressed look. This would be perfect with your shabby chic. Cottage, or Victorian decor. There is one long chip out of the edge of the wood ~ see photos for detail, but this never bothered me at all when I had it displayed in my home. A chic vintage tole ware tray circa 1940s. Hand painted in an Asian theme and signed. The base color is an antique cream/yellow shade. It measures about 25 3/4" by 17 3/4" and is rather heavy weighing about 4 1/2 lbs. There is the remnant of a foil label on the back but I do not know the maker. The condition is very good with wear. We have for auction this very beautifully hand painted antique toleware tray. It measures 16"w x 14.5"l x 1"h and is made of metal. It is artist signed C.F. Feurer. I have lightly cleaned it but it could be done again if desired. I didn't want to disturb the artwork by removing any paint. It has an art Nouveau look to it. There is gold gilding around the edge with cascading swags and a pretty floral arrangement in the center basket with blue. Lavender, pink and white flowers. It is signed in the green below the basket. This tole tray would be a great addition for any home or collector.
