Antique 19th Century Sterling Silver& Bronze Religious Chalice with case. This chalice was used for many years during church services. The upper cup portion is Sterling Silver. The hallmark/stamps have worn away a bit with use and are hard to decipher(see photos) I believe the stamps to be French) The stem and base are Brass and Silver Plated. Most of the Silver plating on the stem has worn away. The base is engraved with leaves and one Pattee Alisee Cross. The chalice has not been cleaned and will be left as-is for the purchaser to care for as they choose. Overall this is a very beautiful piece! Up for sale is Antique pair of Church( Throne Chairs from 1800's. The previous owner told me they got them from old church in Riverside. California. Some people say they are Arts and Crafts style. I can see and tell some part of chair is surely oak quarter-saw. But I am not sure all parts are oak or not. They were used wooden nails not steel nails. Both chairs are sturdy. Well-made and very comfortable. They are really good condition except one chair back board venner lifted. You can easily fix it by puttingg some glue in the space. Antique Vintage 1915 First Holy Communion Candle religious Catholic Church
An antique first holy communion candle. A handwritten note was with it stating that it is from June. 1915. It was used but there are no drips down the sides and no large chips. It has been cracked/ broken 2 1/4" from the top and the top part would hang loose but is still attached with the wick. That part could be cut off and the candle could still then be displayed in a candle holder. The design appears to be in very good condition. Approximately 17 3/4" long. Please view all 10 pictures.

This listing is for a very nice candlestick holder made of solid bronze and brass metal. This candlestick is a fine ornate church paschal from the 19th century and is probably of French origin. See the" Fleur de Lys" pattern on the base. The candlestick holder has been converted to a floor lamp before 1978(year I inherited) and has been used as a home accent with an antique lampshade(see last picture) The lampshade is not include in this auction. About the item: This is an interesting and and rare religious antique. Fine quality and very heavy 18 th century church ceremonial brass bucket.C 1790.It is beautifully cast and decorated with various religious scenes and has latin script encircling the top. I think it reads' PA MA Florebit IV STVS VI' Following some research I think it would have been used for carrying hot coals, but I would welcome any information regarding this unusual piece. It is in very good condition given its age and likely use and the surface wear is what you would expect from a piece that has been handled over many years. This is a set of 3 older Pyrex glass candle followers. They are not in pristine condition. But there is no noticeable damage to them other than a little dirt/soot/wax residue. They are sized to fit a 1 1/8" candle. The bottom opening of the followers measures about 1.25" and the height of the followers is exactly 2" I've looked. But I can't find anywhere that they sell these new anymore. The closest thing I can find would be probably $30-35 each for this size. I will begin bidding on these at less than 1/2 the cost of this estimate for new, with free shipping to boot. I would like to sell these to a Christian church or religious institution.

We have here a wonderful architectural find. Built in 1891 by the fine firm of Irving and Casson. The altar is sound and in overal very good condition. It has suffered some bumps and bruises. Most egregious are some water stains on the top. It does retain it's original label from Irving and Casson with description on church it was for etc. Plaque on front with dedication. They fit the very common 1 1/4" candle size(they are"size 2" in the traditional old classification system and the text"1 1/4" is actually stamped on the side of each of them, so you can be absolutely certain this is the size they fit- see the last picture) The bottom opening of the followers measures about 1 3/8" and they stand about 2 1/4" high. One of the interesting thing about these old, antique bove followers is that they are heavy around the bottom because there is a bead of lead to hold them down and make them"follow" well. The covers have wear and scuffing and the pages have foxing and yellowing. The pages are still very readable and tight. There is writing on the last blank page as pictured. This is a set of 4 antique. Brass candle followers manufactured by the Root Company. They are not in pristine condition, and have some wax/scratches/blemishes on them, but there is no noticeable damage to them other than the effects of normal use over time. They are sized to fit a 1 1/8" candle and this is even stamped on the outside of the followers. I've even used them on 1 1/4" candles and they'll barely fit over them, but pretty snugly. The bottom opening of the followers measures about 1.25" with an outside bottom diameter of about 1.5" and the height of the followers is 1.8" In looking at the Root Candle Company's website. One of these new would cost you $41.35 EACH, or $165.40 for four. I will begin bidding on these at less than 1/2 the cost of new, with free shipping to boot.

They fit a 7/8" candle(They are"size 0" in the traditional old classification system) The bottom opening of the followers measures about 0.95" and they stand about 1 5/8" high. One of the interesting thing about these old, antique bove followers is that they are heavy around the bottom because there is a bead of lead to hold them down and make them"follow" well. It is kind of amusing, because they must have not had a mechanized process to put that in these in the days that these old ones were made. Some have a very heavy bead of lead, others less so. They are not all an exact standard weight like things produced today- these are the old, old ones.
