On the side near bottom there is a slight rough area about the size of the palm of a hand on the metal surface and small amount of paint wear in this area and near the very bottom rim(see photo) bottom looks ok to me, minimal wear, upper top rim shows a couple of areas of small indent areas where metal is slightly turned in- not serious in my opinion but needed to mention will be sold as is. ADORABLE ENAMEWARE OLD FRENCH Shabby Chic enamel DOG FEEDING DISH~RARE~
I am fascinated with the old design of this adorable puppy food and water dish that somehow went out of fashion along the way. To me it's a marvel of practicality. The dish is generous in size measuring 14 inches long by 10 inches wide and has an ergonomically designed handle with a soft fatness where you'd carry it that makes it balanced and comfortable. On either side are places for food and water in equal size. Outside the blue and white enameled design was done by"pochoire" or stencil. It depicts a happy dog running after a group of 3 children with a balloon in 4 repeated motifs. There are some stains to the enamel in the base where you'd place the food or water and there is missing enamel along the rim which is very smooth and a missing strip 2 inch by 1/2 inch along the bottom edge that isn't visible when it's ... moreset down.
