Vintage Metal Hand Painted Floral on Black Tole Tray Toleware Shabby Cottage
Vintage metal tole tray. Hand painted toleware. Black tray with a floral pattern and goldtone trim. Measures approximately 17" by 13 1/2" It is in well preserved condition with still bright popping colors. There is a small dent in the middle and a spot where the paint chipped away on the dent(top part of large pink flower in the middle) signs of wear from age and use, but still a beautiful tray! No rust. Back side of tray has scratches. Pretty tray with keyhole handles. All of my items come from a very non smoking home. Vintage Hollywood Regency Tole Lamp French Bouillotte Style Black Metal Shade
You are bidding on a fantastic vintage tole lamp in the French Bouillotte style. The lamp measures approximately 25.75" tall from bottom to top of finial. The base is approximately 7.25" wide at it's widest point. The shade meaures approximately 15" in diameter and is approximately 6.5" tall. This lamp features 3 candle style sockets that take standard size bulb stems. A classic tole metal shade, and the original arrow shaped finial. It's black in color with fabulous gold detail embellishments. The lamp works beautifully. The switch can be twisted to 4 different positions-off. 1 bulb lit, 2 bulbs lit, or all 3 bulbs lit. One of the plastic candle socket covers has some cracking. This could easily be replaced or positioned to be conspicious. The primary color is black and the trim. Tops and bottoms of the holders are painted in gold gilt with a tiny flower in the centers. Interestingingly, it appears the artist included their initials of“WB”at the bottom between the two holders. This piece includes the hole for hanging on a wall and is ready for immediate use for any match– old or new! The only point of interest to be made regarding its condition is some minor bending of the trim on the bottom under the right hand holder. It has loss to the gold paint. As it is now it is 20"H. Two condition notes. One. There is a very shallow dent on one side. Does not stand out at all. It's very minor. The other is that I believe there was a metal frame that held up the shade. For now it works to just rest it atop the bottom half but the bulb peeks out above the top this way. Jerry rigging a couple old wire hangers would work. The base is weighted for support. You could always repaint it if you don't like the original yellow finish. Large Black and Gold Antique Handpainted Toleware Tray This sale is for an antique toleware tray that measures 22 1/4" long x 16 1/4" wide and 1 1/4" deep. The tray has been in handpainted and has a strawberry vine around the inner fram of the tray in gold. The inside of the tray has a rought patch on one side that when you look closely appears to have rusted underneath the tray. The bottom. These four tole ware painted trays are very pretty. They have a black background with flower blossoms and leaves painted in the center. You get 4 of them with your purchase. They measure approximately 9 1/4" long and 6 3/4" wide. They are vintage so the black on the outer area of the tray has some wear places but the painted flowers are in great condition. The black could easily be touched up with paint if you wanted. I did not touch up any of the paint on the trays. The trays are not dented or cracked and overall these are in very good condition. This wrought iron hanging lamp has a 5/8” W flat inverted“L” bar carriage bracket with curled front lip. Socket sits on top near front& takes a standard size light bulb. Has the old on/off button switch. Bracket is flush mount to wall with hanger hole in back& top rail extends 5 ½” forward. Vertical bar has an attached 6” round reflector pan with pie crust ruffled rim. 5/8” recess. Total height is 10” top of socket to bottom edge of pan. The vinyl cord is just shy of 6’ has clean prongs. Lamp has been tested& works well with no issues. This has the original black gloss finish which we freshened up to renew. Also has hand a center motif with a hand painted ... morecabbage rose, new buds& leaf. Pie crust rim has alternating rose buds on stem surround. Back of lamp pan has a“T” bar below where you wind the excess cord around out of way. Socket has an external thread at top for placement of a collar to hold a glass chimney. We searched for a replacement ring/collar& couldn’t find one. We used it with a small shade over bulb. A nice lamp to hang on wall behind you favorite reading chair; in bedroom above your headboard or behind your desk or workstation. Vintage Black Gold Leaf Tole Metal Office Wall Hanging Electric Lamp Works!
Up for bid is a vintage black tole hanging office lamp by Underwriters Laboratories. This is from an estate sale of which I took off the wall. Brackets included. It is in excellent condition, no flaking on the gold leaf or scratches and works fine. The lamp measures 14 inches in circumference and 5 inches high. The electric cord is 81 inches long, including the black spacer, and 15 inches from the lamp to the bottom of the gold bar(the part that hangs over a desk) Thank you and good luck if you decide to bid.
