GORGEOUS FRENCH TOLEWARE Obtained at estate sale. Date unknown, but it is old. Hand painted. Deep red with bronze trim and embellishments on rims and back. And surrounding a scene depicting three people at a waterfall. Two animal shaped fountains and woodlands. It measures 11" L x 8.5" W x 4.5" H. The inside has some surface rusting. Which appears to have been treated with some sort of protectant-itis green in color. The rusting does NOT penetrate through to the outside. It is a good solid piece. It is absolutely beautiful!

Antique Decorated Toleware Kreamer Canister Tin(NR) You are bidding on an antique toleware round canister tin. 10 1/4 inch diameter by 6 1/4 inches tall. The Kreamer name, of A. Kreamer Manufacturing, is embossed on the bottom. This tin was painted in the 1950's by an artisan on Cape Ann. MA. She used antique trays, boxes, pitchers, scoops, etc. for the base of her art. In the Cape Ann area there was no shortage of good antique metalware to use. The clear lacquer. And some of the paint, has reticulated in some areas. There is one very shallow dent in the design close to the right edge of the straight on photo. Barely noticeable even when handling the piece. See the detail photos for the noted defects. Measures approximately 17" by 13 1/2" It is in well preserved condition with still bright popping colors. There is a small dent in the middle and a spot where the paint chipped away on the dent(top part of large pink flower in the middle) signs of wear from age and use, but still a beautiful tray! It measures approximately 22" x 16" The edges have intricate cutwork as do the the handles. The colors are muted due to age but still beautiful. There is normal wear and tear with a few places missing the black background and these are mostly on the back. Look closely at the pictures as I have tried to capture the flaws. Considering its age overall this piece is in really nice condition. It is a heavy gauged metal. Part of me really doesn't want to sell this tray but I am running out of room to display all the stuff I have(and everyone is telling me I have become a hoarder) so I hope it finds a good home. for more great items! Antique Tin Document Box with Tole Paint Toleware Decoration Wire Handle
This is an Antique Tin Document Box with Tole Paint Toleware Decoration. The box has a Wire Handle on the top. The hinged lid tin box has the black oxidation to the tin base and interior which signifies an antique piece of tin ware. The tole paint toleware decoration is later to the box and possibly dates to about the 1950-60's when tole ware painting was very popular as a craft. Someone did an outstanding job painting this box with delft brush strokes and excellent grasp of how to use the tole painting brushes. The skilled painting was done by someone who knew what they were doing. Also the artist used antique tole ware designs and patterns to decorate the box. The box was not varnished either so it has that matte look to resemble the 19th century tin tole painting. The tin box also displays beautifully. It measures 8" wide. 4" ... moredeep and 5" tall. Front floral paint design is looks very good. On the side near bottom there is a slight rough area about the size of the palm of a hand on the metal surface and small amount of paint wear in this area and near the very bottom rim(see photo) bottom looks ok to me, minimal wear, upper top rim shows a couple of areas of small indent areas where metal is slightly turned in- not serious in my opinion but needed to mention will be sold as is. Description I have up for auction a Vintage Tole or Toleware Hand Painted Metal Clock with Flowers. It measures approximately 9 3/4" across x 11 1/2" high with the ring. It is in pretty good shape with minor scratches and marks from use. The gold metal ring around the face has a couple of dents. The clock has come loose. But I could not keep it running so I left it this way. The entire face may have to be replaced. I have supplied several photos so please check them out carefully. 19th CENTURY TOLEWARE DO MED TOP B OX Exceptional antique 19th century"T oleware D omed Top Box" with original painted decoration. This little storage box is a good example of early Toleware. There is only very minor wear to the paint decoration. This bo x is in excellent condition and has the small loop handle at the top of the lid. The paint decoration is done in green. Red and yellows within an ocre band. Measures 4" wide. 2 7/8" deep, 2 3/4" tall. In the collectibles and antique industry. Toleware refers to kitchen-related objects created from metal, typically tin or thin steel. And are usually in the country primitive or Pennsylvania Dutch motif. This vintage watering can is red tin with yellow daffodils. Beautiful Garden Art Toleware that was a barn sale find. Holds water and pours water superbly.
