The lamp works great. The leaves and stems are made of a metal and the whi te roses are a ceramic material. T he base looks like some kind of hard press board with paint. S o me of the pai nt has chipped on the edge of the bottom. I don't k now if all of the roses are there. There might be a couple missing. I see some stems without flowers on the ends. The r oses were applied to the stems and many are loose but they don't come off. There are 3 patches of flowers on the base of the lamp and one has a broken peddle. Vintage Florentine?Italy Toleware Wood Box Gold Gilt White&Gold, Burgundy Plate
For your consideration we are offering this lovely pair of vintage toleware wood plate and box. The plate has a finely detailed tole design is rich burgundy with gold and white. The wood plate or tray has a detailed carved edge. The plate has a sticker on the bottom. The sticker is old and difficult to read. However; made in Italy can be read and 20/0 on the top of the sticker. There are not any other marks on the plate that I can see. The box appears to have a rectangle shape area on the bottom that may have been where a stick once was located. There are not any marks on the box that I could see. I am guessing based on other examples similar to this box, that the box is probably also from Italy. I cannot say positively. The box has a traditional toleware design and is decorated in gold and white. I do not know the age of these two beauties. ... moreThey appear to have some age to them. They have the wear expected on these pieces from age and use. I will address the more apparent areas. The round plate or small tray has a section of wood which is raised on the face of the plate. There is some loss of gold in an area on this section. There are areas where the burgundy paint along the edge is pebbled. I do not know what this is from. I do not know if this can be removed, or if it is where something was spilled onto the plate. The plate and box have surface scratches from use and age. The box has wear on the bottom of the box at the corners and edges. Please see the photos to see the box and plate in more detail. The box is covered on the interior with green felt. The plate measures approximately 7 7/8” wide and the plate measures approximately 7/8” high from the table top. The box measures approximately 6” long with the lid closed and it measures approximately 4” wide. The box with the lid closed measures approximately 2 1/8” tall. A vintage toleware black metal tray with gold accents and white fruit design that was hand painted. Appears to be grapes and a peach or a plum. Tray measures 10 inches by 7 inches. The height is only a couple centimeters high. In good vintage condition with scratches/rub markings underneath on base from general wear. Vintage Tole Toleware Adjustable Arm Table Lamp White and Gold Grapevine
Pretty vintage metal toleware table lamp. This one is an adjustable arm table lamp with both the base and the shade in tole. It is off white with gold grapevine. Grapes and scroll accents around the perimeter of the shade and base. The top of the shade is decorated in leaves or feathers. Base is weighted to give the lamp stability. The arm is brass and it is adjustable. There is a handle that loosens to move the arm up and down. Interior of shade is white for reflective quality. The lamp works, but the wiring and electrical components, though visually in good shape, are old. Light soiling that I have not attempted to clean. Overall very good condition with wear consistent with age. The base is 5 3/4" in diameter and the arm is about 8" long.
