Someone punched a small hole on the top to hang it more easily. They dented the metal a little bit around the hole. The box is 7"H and 6 1/4"W and 5 1/2"D. Wood tray dusty middle to dark blue base decprated with rose posie and gold leaves. Paint is flaking see photos. Shallow tray measures 17 inches long including handles. 7.5 inches wide, about 1.5 inches tall including handles. Could date to the 1940s.

A very nice folk art style painted tole tray w/ a stenciled fruit basket. The painting reminds me of the stenciling found on Hitchcock Rocking chairs from the 19th century and maybe a Pennsylvania Dutch style artwork. Age is hard to determine on the piece. But the"alligatoring" of the paint makes me think that it is probably from the late 19th century. The metal is also relatively light and I cannot find any marks. It measures about 16 1'2" across and about 13" wide. Condition is pretty nice. As stated, there is some alligatoring of the paint, specially around the inside rim edges which should show in the photos. There is some minor denting around the edges and there are spots where something hot was placed on the tray and burned the paint leaving a mark. Pretty tole painted(very) heavy metal mirror. Cream colored with light purple roses and green leaves. Nicely done"vining" surrounds the mirror with large. Beautiful roses and a double row of twisted metal. Uncertain of age or origin(French? Italian? the woman I acquired it from has had it for at least 20 years but couldn't recall where she got it. No markings. Stands 23" tall x 18.5" wide x approx. 2" deep. Glass is in good condition with no cracks. No waviness. Paint is in good overall condition with just minor chipping. There are some imperfections in the paint(a green mark on the cream. For example) but nothing unexpected for a tole piece. Some discoloration and a few small rusty spots. This stunningly beautiful set is in good shape with no dents. Dings or odor. It has some wear that is very light and subtle. There are some minor paint chips in the thick bright hand painted design and the most minor of scratches on the bottom. There is some minor wear as well on the gold edges on the top of the piece. The tray measures 20 ¼" x 16" and is 1 ½" tall. It is made of thick heavy metal and weighs nearly 3 lbs. the legs are made of wood with rubber plungers.
