For your consideration is this vintage 1950-60's Italian Florentine easel and landscape picture by Corot. The gold/gilt and cream easel is 10 1/4" tall and 5" wide. It has a gold medallion at the top. The picture measures 7 3/4" x 5 3/4" The easel has its original metal chain. Both the easel and the picture have the typical distressed finish. Beautiful and unusual Italian Florentine shelf is ornately designed with scrolled leaf designs on the top and a variety of geometric and curved etched designs on the front and sides. Heavy gilding accents the ivory color background. Shelf is a somewhat kidney shape with a small drawer in the middle. And two curved'legs' that sweep to the back. Drawer has a pretty flower shaped brass knob In good condition with minor overall wear typical of these pieces. It is missing something at the bottom end of the'legs'not sure if perhaps their was a ball or maybe an oval disc that would have set against the wall. My hopes are that someone knows an artistic craftsman that can bring this piece back to its original beauty. This spot could also be covered with elegant garland or ribbon. The tray, box and coasters all have red coloring and gold gilt, and look like they go together. I believe the items(except for the little holder) are made of Balsa wood. The little holder is made of simulated leather that is laminated onto cardboard. TRAY The small hand painted tray is decorated with a patterned design of gold gilt set against a red background. It has gold gilt trim with small black accents. The edges are scalloped. It measures approximately 12" by 8 1/4" It has some paint ... morewear and scratches on the red and gold gilt decorations. There is an area with a dark stain mark. There is wear underneath the tray. TRINKET BOX The small hand painted wooden trinket or jewelry box is decorated with a patterned design of gold gilt set against a red background. It has gold gilt trim with small black accents. Unpainted wood is on the inside of the box. It measures 4 3/4" long by 3 1/2" wide by 1 13/16" high. It has paint wear and scratches on the red and gold gilt decorations. The top of the wooden box is attached to the bottom of the box with eye hooks. It does have some wood wear from use in the areas where the eye hooks are attached. But the lid's function is not affected by the wear. COASTERS The 3 coasters also have red backgrounds gold gilt designs and trim. Two of the coasters have small black accents and the third one has small blue accents. Each one has a different design in the middle. They have some wear from age and use. The coasters measure 4" in diameter. SMALL HOLDER The last item that is in this lot is small holder with a lid. It is burnt orange in color and has very tiny gold colored flowers on top of the lid. Antique Vtg Shabby French Cottage Florentine Trinket BOX Italian Gold Tole Gilt
Hello and welcome Gorgeous Florentine Hand Made Italian Embossed Wood Box. The wooden Florentine box has a lovely cream and gold patina. The inside can be used for storing jewelry or trinkets. The lid of the box is flat with a leaf motif with a diamond pattern on all the sides. The entire box measures approx. 9-1/2" wide by 5" tall. By 5-1/2" depth(front to back) The box does show signs of wear. As expected for a vintage find. This looks and feels like wood. I believe it to be made from balsa wood. Not Marked Condition. Looks old, scratches, chippy paint loss, no breaks to the wood. Has aged patina that adds a warm glow to the box. This came from an old Cheasapeake Bay waterfront mansion estate. Vintage Italian Florentine Tole Table Top Gilt Easel. This easel measures 9-3/4” tall x 5” wide x 6-1/2” deep when extended. The shelf measures ¾” deep. Hand-crafted in Italy of wood with a cream white/gold backwash. Bordered in gold with an incised bead design. Legs have a decorative incised floral scroll design. VINTAGE ITALIAN FLORENTINE GILT WOOD GESSO DRESSER BOX PORTRAIT PRINT TOLE"AS IS" Up for bids is a vintage Italian Florentine gold gilt gesso& wood dresser. Trinket or jewelry box. The top has a wonderful print of a reclining Renaissance woman wearing a peach tone dress. She is holding a bow in one hand and an arrow in the other. There is landscape in the background. Orange bands and carved gilt decorations are on all 4 sides. It has 2 original tiny wire hinges attaching the lid to the box. The original sticker label with" GOLDEN CROWN" E& R" ITALY printed is underneath the box. Made in Italy" is also incised underneath. I believe it dates to the 1950's. DIMENSIONS It measures 6" long by 4" wide by 2" high. CONDITION The vintage box has some wear due to age and use. There is a spot ... moreof white on the front of the box where gold gilt has chipped off the wood. The printed scene has a small amount of wear. The box has to be opened and closed with care because the wood is worn where the hinges are attached. There is a bit of an opening where the lid meets the bottom on the front of the lid(left side) The wood inside the box has an area that is worn. 3) SMALL VINTAGE ITALIAN FLORENTINE GOLD GILT WOOD FRAMES with PRINTS-2 Children& Madonna Up for bids are 3 small pre-owned vintage Italian Florentine round carved wood picture frames or plaques. All 3 frames have their original glass. I will describe the 3 frames with prints in detail below: The smallest(miniature size) frame is decorated with gold gilt and pale pink coloring and little dots of turquoise. The framed print is" Raphael's Sistine Madonna" The mini frame measures approximately 2-7/8" in diameter by 3/4" thick. The area with the print is only 1-7/8" in diameter. The frame has some wear from age and use. The original paper backing and hook are missing. The print is attached to the frame with only 2 small nails. The gold gilt on the frame has wear. The 2 other frames are gold gilt small frames with ... moreprints of children. One print is of a young girl and the other is of a young boy. The bac ks have felt and the original paper labels with"HAND MADE IN ITALY" ITALIA" and" ANOTHER RDE IMPORT" printed. Hooks for hanging are attached on the backs. The small frames measure 5" in diameter. The print area is approx. 3-1/4" in diameter. They are 3/4" inch thick. The vintage frames have wear. Scratches and chips on the gold gilt.
