An original vintage Renzo Carli hand made serving tray. Many of these trays are produced in Italy but non compare with these from the Renzo Carli Florence workshop. This tray measures 8" across. The well defined 1" with lip border is in orange with gold gilt and very attractive design. This border gives added dimension to the black background center with a beautiful hand painted floral bouquet. This tray has never been used to serve with but only displayed on a wall as decoration. Still retains the original foil sticker of the Company. I have had many of these beautiful Italian made trays and other items in the past but Renzo Carli is by far the best. Most all of my listings are antique. Vintage or used items. For that reason they may have a mark or other imperfection. This is a beautiful tole painted. Metal serving tray featuring gorgeous flowers and gold scrolls. The tray is large measuring 16.5 inches tall(up and down) by 25 inches(side to side) I sell a lot of tole tv trays and they are usually in more distressed condition. This tray, while not perfect, has only minimal wear to the tray itself-very few and light scratches. Unfortunately the handles have some wear to the outer edges. Sticker on the back tell us Fine Arts Studio HAND PAINTED PHILA. 6 PA I can not say for sure when it dates to, but others on the Internet with the same sticker on them are being identified as 1940s- 1950s, so that would be my best guess. Metal tray is most likely either tin or steel. Both sides have been painted so it is difficult to know for sure which metal is under the paint. The hand painted flowers are in very good condition without chipping or wear. But there is some wear to the black paint, particularly on the edges and bottom corners. There are also some small spots of pitting or rusting on the front of the tray. Generally very good condition for age though and wear is conducive with age and use. This charming toleware serving tray is unmarked but my guess is that it dates from around 1940. The color and decoration is rather unusual and distinctive. Painted green, it has a golden trim on the rim and hand painted white daisies in the center. A nice. Useable, not too large size, it measures approximately 12 5/8" long x 10 1/4" wide. Obviously. It's old and used but still seems to be in very good condition. There are a few worn spots- mostly at edge of center(see next to last pic close-up) and a hard to spot smudge of dirt or wear through the center daisy.
