Three nice toleware pieces. First I just LOVE this gorgeous vintage tole tray! Made of heavy gold metal with a cut-out patterned edge that resembles lace. Not the normal pink roses you find in toleware but a more sophisticated color pallet this tray has been hand painted in beautiful shades of ivory. Moss green& dark green with accents of black. In good vintage condition with some scuffs. Scratches& marks but no dents. The paint is wonderfully chippy and chic with nice wear spots. Label on back reads: Nashco Products Hand Painted. This generously-sized piece measures about 17-3/4" in diameter. A little history on the tray. Is that is has been around for at least as old as I am, and that is nearing 70 years old. Either one was was never used as an actual tray"god forbid! It is a HEAVY tray. And the Kings Crown edge is no joke. It is sharp and hurts like a bugger if you handle it the wrong way. The design is a cluster of berries and leaves. Each tray is just a tad different in the design as each is hand painted in the toleware tradition. This handsome tray measures 15" in diameter and is 1 1/2" tall including the crown edging. This is an original antique spice tin. The lacquer is worn and there is a small ding in the bottom at the back. There are five spice tins inside. I do not believe these ever had names on them as the individual tins are in pretty good condition and there is no indication of lettering. This is still a wonderful little set!
