BIG Vtg Hand Painted BLACK CHIPPENDALE Roses TOLE TRAY This beautiful tole tray is quite large- it's 28" wide by 22.75" tall. It has a nice Chippendale shape and beautiful hand-painted roses and other flowers in the center. Unfortunately. Someone punched holes in it, probably to hang? just below the rim top and bottom. This makes the tray a bit more on the shabby side of cottage chic. But it's still a beautiful piece that I wouldn't part with if I still had room for it! There is some light surface wear such as scratches and some rubs to the paint on this piece. This is heavy and requires an odd-shaped box(which adds to USPS charges) Shipping will vary based on your zip code for a 9 pound box by Parcel or Priority.

From a cousin’s estate we have a large black metal tray. Hand painted toleware– most likely from the 1950’s. The front has beautiful roses in yellow. Orange, pink and light pink with gold trim around the edge. It is octagonal oblong shaped with a fancy lattice work around the edge and handles. The back has a tag that says Fine Arts Studio Hand-Painted Phila 47 PA. I'm not sure when that dates it. But I think that is the 50’s. That's when this type of stuff was more popular. Some of the paint has flaked off on the flowers in the middle. It still a pretty nice piece of nostalgia! Great for your collection! Approximate measurements: 22" x 16" and 1-1/4" tall, Most of the estate is from the 40’s. 50’s and 60’s. Notes: I try to give an accurate description. But I am not an expert. This is one of my favorite things! VINTAGE/ANTIQUE TOLE PAINTED WOOD TRAY Beautiful roses design Please read entire description. I have had this for years and years. purchased at an estate sale) and I am now downsizing. This gorgeous tray is in structurally excellent condition(also note that the corners are dove-tailed, or tongue and groove construction ~ very nice) The painted floral design is excellent. In good color, and the paint is beautifully textured ~ slightly raised here and there. All along the edges of the tray. The black paint is scuffed, giving it a naturally charming vintage distressed look. This would be perfect with your shabby chic. Cottage, or Victorian decor. There is one long chip out of the edge of the wood ~ see photos for detail, but this never bothered me at all when I had it displayed in my home. The antique tray is in very good condition for it's 75+ years with an expected amount of wear on the floral design and very light scratches. There is a ding at the rim under the blue flower. This wrought iron hanging lamp has a 5/8” W flat inverted“L” bar carriage bracket with curled front lip. Socket sits on top near front& takes a standard size light bulb. Has the old on/off button switch. Bracket is flush mount to wall with hanger hole in back& top rail extends 5 ½” forward. Vertical bar has an attached 6” round reflector pan with pie crust ruffled rim. 5/8” recess. Total height is 10” top of socket to bottom edge of pan. The vinyl cord is just shy of 6’ has clean prongs. Lamp has been tested& works well with no issues. This has the original black gloss finish which we freshened up to renew. Also has hand a center motif with a hand painted ... morecabbage rose, new buds& leaf. Pie crust rim has alternating rose buds on stem surround. Back of lamp pan has a“T” bar below where you wind the excess cord around out of way. Socket has an external thread at top for placement of a collar to hold a glass chimney. We searched for a replacement ring/collar& couldn’t find one. We used it with a small shade over bulb. A nice lamp to hang on wall behind you favorite reading chair; in bedroom above your headboard or behind your desk or workstation. Two red/pink& one white, in the center of the tray surrounded by green leaves and pink/red& white buds. Upon closer inspection you can see the raised paint from when it was originally painted. Just gorgeous! No damage to the decoration that I can see. Has a antiqued gold edge that does show some wear. There are some use scratches on the bottom of the tray but these are obviously from usage and nothing major. No dents, dips or dinks. Judging from other similar trays on here it appears to have been made by Nashco and according to another source these were done after 1940. Measures 20" x 15" Check out my other items listed. This vintage tray offers a rich black backdrop and sweet roses and mixed blooms rimmed in ornate gold. It is all hand painted and in very good condition with little paint wear! It is made of metal/tin and measures approx. 14 x 24.5 inches. This tray has not been touched or cleaned since I found it the other day at an estate sale. So you can judge by photos as to how it could use TLC. A very nice item in good condition. Paint is all intact. A few scrapes or sctratches. Quite good for its age for the collector. I think it is an antique.
