FRENCH CHIC TOLE TRASH CAN WASTE BASKET ROSES SHABBY RARE RED VINTAGE TOLEWARE Pretty tolware waste basket done in a harder to find red/burgundy tone. Waste basket stands 12 1/2 inches tall. Front floral paint design is looks very good. On the side near bottom there is a slight rough area about the size of the palm of a hand on the metal surface and small amount of paint wear in this area and near the very bottom rim(see photo) bottom looks ok to me, minimal wear, upper top rim shows a couple of areas of small indent areas where metal is slightly turned in- not serious in my opinion but needed to mention will be sold as is. This auction is for a Nash Co. Nashco Tole? Disneyland Montmartre red tray with poodles paiting signed by Clement. It is in really good shape. I don't see any chips of note. Trim is gold color and solid. Missing a corner of the manufacturer tag(see in pic) I have been unable to locate another piece like this one. I have seen variations of this tray. Each rare, but none from Disneyland. I can't give you an exact date. I am saying 1950's to 1960's. If it was on the manufacturers tag it is on the corner that is missing. It clearly says Nash Co. The painting of the poodles is really cute. Sorry for the glare on the pictures I could not get it at an angle where the flash didn't show up. This auction is for a total of 6 used vintage"Shabby Chic" Florentine Italian Tole items. I have a small tray. A small trinket box, 3 coasters, and a small holder with a lid. The tray, box and coasters all have red coloring and gold gilt, and look like they go together. I believe the items(except for the little holder) are made of Balsa wood. The little holder is made of simulated leather that is laminated onto cardboard. TRAY The small hand painted tray is decorated with a patterned design of gold gilt set against a red background. It has gold gilt trim with small black accents. The edges are scalloped. It measures approximately 12" by 8 1/4" It has some paint ... morewear and scratches on the red and gold gilt decorations. There is an area with a dark stain mark. There is wear underneath the tray. TRINKET BOX The small hand painted wooden trinket or jewelry box is decorated with a patterned design of gold gilt set against a red background. It has gold gilt trim with small black accents. Unpainted wood is on the inside of the box. It measures 4 3/4" long by 3 1/2" wide by 1 13/16" high. It has paint wear and scratches on the red and gold gilt decorations. The top of the wooden box is attached to the bottom of the box with eye hooks. It does have some wood wear from use in the areas where the eye hooks are attached. But the lid's function is not affected by the wear. COASTERS The 3 coasters also have red backgrounds gold gilt designs and trim. Two of the coasters have small black accents and the third one has small blue accents. Each one has a different design in the middle. They have some wear from age and use. The coasters measure 4" in diameter. SMALL HOLDER The last item that is in this lot is small holder with a lid. It is burnt orange in color and has very tiny gold colored flowers on top of the lid. Charming small vintage toleware 3 light bouillotte lamp measuring 18 inches tall to the top of the finial ring with a narrow base measuring 4 inches in diameter The lamp has three candle sockets each taking a small bulb. The bulbs are on a 3 way switch The wiring has been checked and is working well as is the switch The candle covers are replaced. The lamp shows wear with some minor losses to the paint decoration. This is an adorable antique metal table lamp. Painted with tole style. This whimsical lamp is made like a drum majorette or dancing girl. It is red and cream complete with a red drum major hat that clips on the light bulb. The bulb has a painted face. This bulb will have to be replaced as it has come apart at the base) It will be included so you can paint a new face on your new bulb. The black switch is in the back center and is engraved with an L. The base is black. Copper and green. It is complete with two stick legs that probably covers the electrical.
