VTG ANTIQUE TOLEWARE OVAL TRAY GREEK GODDESS W CORNUCOPIA RED BLACK GOLD NR This is a sturdy vintage/antique tray; 19" x 14 7/8" x 1 1/4" It weighs about 2 lbs. 15 oz. A magnet does stick to the surface. There is some paint wear. Light scratches in paint. There are 2 areas shown in photos of note: one is an area of repair near bottom of tray below goddess where some kind of metal filler or finish has been applied, see image 7. At top of tray there are some whitish marks in paint near tray edge, see image 8. Tray has good structural integrity, no dents or breaks. Great piece to use, display, restore, enjoy!

The tray, box and coasters all have red coloring and gold gilt, and look like they go together. I believe the items(except for the little holder) are made of Balsa wood. The little holder is made of simulated leather that is laminated onto cardboard. TRAY The small hand painted tray is decorated with a patterned design of gold gilt set against a red background. It has gold gilt trim with small black accents. The edges are scalloped. It measures approximately 12" by 8 1/4" It has some paint ... morewear and scratches on the red and gold gilt decorations. There is an area with a dark stain mark. There is wear underneath the tray. TRINKET BOX The small hand painted wooden trinket or jewelry box is decorated with a patterned design of gold gilt set against a red background. It has gold gilt trim with small black accents. Unpainted wood is on the inside of the box. It measures 4 3/4" long by 3 1/2" wide by 1 13/16" high. It has paint wear and scratches on the red and gold gilt decorations. The top of the wooden box is attached to the bottom of the box with eye hooks. It does have some wood wear from use in the areas where the eye hooks are attached. But the lid's function is not affected by the wear. COASTERS The 3 coasters also have red backgrounds gold gilt designs and trim. Two of the coasters have small black accents and the third one has small blue accents. Each one has a different design in the middle. They have some wear from age and use. The coasters measure 4" in diameter. SMALL HOLDER The last item that is in this lot is small holder with a lid. It is burnt orange in color and has very tiny gold colored flowers on top of the lid. This pretty little box is made of wood that has been decorated in shades of gold. Green and red in the Florentine Gilt manner. The box measures approximately 3 1/2 x 2 3/8 inches across the bottom and about 1 1/2 inches tall to the top of the lid. Any spots in the photos are just camera flash glare. Description: Superb Chinese red and gilt gold toleware tin tray in original unretouched condition. Depicts a basket of fruit rather than an oriental theme. But the deep Chinese red and gold have a strong Chinoiserie feel. Heavy-gauge metal(tin) some wear and a faint partial water-ring stain(see pix) but in great condition commensurate with age, use and materials. Beautiful colors! First half of the nineteenth century. Vintage Red Metal Electric Table Lamp Finger/ loop handle. Key switch, simple gold line trim, frosted glass chimney, grape/leaf pattern. There is some wear to the paint and some wear to surface of chimney where it inserts into the metal lamp, and a small lighter spot on the chimney. No chips or cracks. The bottom of the lamp is green felt. The light works, but I never recommend using something of this age without rewiring. Up for auction is a vintage/ antique red toleware table desk lamp with gold design. This red toleware lamp is 31 tall(base to final) and the shade is 15 1/8 from rim to rim(widest part) and the shade is 6” tall. The pull down socket strings still snap really good. However the lights don’t turn on so I believe it will need rewired(probably an old plug) There is some light wear due to age and use, it looks a little misshaped at the bottom of the lamp. I don’t know if that is the look but would just need a little reshape(once again a minor repair or me just being picky) It appears the lamp was hand painted.
