Exquisitely painted. Varnished, and signed by the artist in 1955. Large Tole serving tray with a floral pattern/motif signed by C. Shannon. In excellent condition, especially considering its age. I have seen many of these trays, and this one absolutely stands out due to the detail and color used by the artist. The little blue flowers are my personal favorites. It is truly unusual. Vintage metal tole tray. Hand painted toleware. Black tray with a floral pattern and goldtone trim. Measures approximately 17" by 13 1/2" It is in well preserved condition with still bright popping colors. There is a small dent in the middle and a spot where the paint chipped away on the dent(top part of large pink flower in the middle) signs of wear from age and use, but still a beautiful tray! No rust. Back side of tray has scratches. Pretty tray with keyhole handles. All of my items come from a very non smoking home. From a cousin’s estate we have a large black metal tray. Hand painted toleware– most likely from the 1950’s. The front has beautiful roses in yellow. Orange, pink and light pink with gold trim around the edge. It is octagonal oblong shaped with a fancy lattice work around the edge and handles. The back has a tag that says Fine Arts Studio Hand-Painted Phila 47 PA. I'm not sure when that dates it. But I think that is the 50’s. That's when this type of stuff was more popular. Some of the paint has flaked off on the flowers in the middle. It still a pretty nice piece of nostalgia! Great for your collection! Here is a vintage metal tray by NASHCO PRODUCTS New York. This tray measures 18 1/2 X 10 1/2 inches. It is a solid metal tray with a lip on the edges of about 1/2 inch in depth. This is in very good condition with minor scratches to the paint. The most noticable are on the grapes. The bottom has a few tiny spots of paint chipped off. There are no dents or dings but some slight wear on the edges. The bottom is black and the top is green painted fruit on cream. This has been on display for the last many years.

This lot is for a gorgeous vintage/antique TOLEWARE METAL TRAY. The tray is SIGNED. I cannot make out the name. The tray measures 23 3/8" L x 16 3/8" W. The depth of the tray is 1 1/8" The interior dimensions of the tray is 20" L x 13" W. The tray weighs 3 1/2 pounds before packaging. The edge of the tray has beautiful cut out work. There are handles on each end for easy carrying. The back has wear marks from years of use. Paint is chipped away. I DID NOT clean the front before taking photographs. You will see some marks in the bottom right. They are just surface dirt marks. There are splattered"GOLD" paint on the upper left corner- probably there from the original painting. I purchased this antique/vintage toleware metal tray at an estate. It does show used in condition and wear as well as some surface rust type places that I tried to get pictures of. I uploaded 10 pictures hoping they will speak for themselves. The description and the condition. Again, does show surface wear and has been used, there are places where the black color has worn and surface scratches and places and surface wear on the bottom as well. There's also some, what looks to be a lighter color of paint that dripped on it or got on it at one time on the outside of one of the corner's. You will hopefully see these places in the pictures. It's a big tray measuring approximately 21 1/2 inches side to side and approximately 16 inches top to bottom. It has the etched open designs along the raised edges/sides with a place for your hands ... moreon each side for carrying. It looks like an old one. I wasn't able to get any history on it.
