RARE Vintage Nashco Tole Toleware Clement Red Disneyland Montmartre Poodle Tray
This auction is for a Nash Co. Nashco Tole? Disneyland Montmartre red tray with poodles paiting signed by Clement. It is in really good shape. I don't see any chips of note. Trim is gold color and solid. Missing a corner of the manufacturer tag(see in pic) I have been unable to locate another piece like this one. I have seen variations of this tray. Each rare, but none from Disneyland. I can't give you an exact date. I am saying 1950's to 1960's. If it was on the manufacturers tag it is on the corner that is missing. It clearly says Nash Co. The painting of the poodles is really cute. Sorry for the glare on the pictures I could not get it at an angle where the flash didn't show up. From a cousin’s estate we have a gorgeous hand-painted fruit tray metal toleware. It is signed by someone with the letter A– I cannot read the rest of it. It is oblong octagonal shaped tray with grapes. An apple, a peach, cherries and a pear on the front. It has a latticework design around the edges. Vivid colors. It is in really good shape on the painting. There is some wear to the gold trim on the edge. The back has a silver tag that says: Nashco Products New York Hand painted- Chip and alcohol resistant. There is a string on the back for hanging on the wall if you so choose. There are a couple blemishes on the back. Won’t be seen for the most part. Still a beauty! Approximate measurements: 20" x 15" and 1-1/5" tall. Most of the estate is from the 40’s. 50’s and 60’s. Notes: I try to give an accurate description. But I am ... morenot an expert. Here is a vintage metal tray by NASHCO PRODUCTS New York. This tray measures 18 1/2 X 10 1/2 inches. It is a solid metal tray with a lip on the edges of about 1/2 inch in depth. This is in very good condition with minor scratches to the paint. The most noticable are on the grapes. The bottom has a few tiny spots of paint chipped off. There are no dents or dings but some slight wear on the edges. The bottom is black and the top is green painted fruit on cream. This has been on display for the last many years.

Vintage 1960's metal tray. 14 1/4" by 17 1/4" made by Nashco Products. Dark turquoise background with hand painted gold bands and silkscreen decoration of a ballroom scene at court in the time of Louis XIV. The dancers are posed on a gold and black parquet floor, flanked by hot pink columns and lit by a hot pink chandelier hangig from a white ceiling. This is a different look from most Nashco trays I've seen- most of them quite traditional, painted with tole flowers. The color scheme screams Mod! The tray does have some scratches and wear on the front- many more on the back. From a local estate, this would be fabulous hanging on a wall or propped up at the back of a bar.
