This is a vintage. Gold gilt florentine magazine holder. Recently purchased at an estate sale, I am unsure of it's age. It is unmarked. In good, used and vintage condition, there are a few issues worth mentioning. Most importantly, there is a small dent and crack in the wood on one of the bottom edges. This can be seen in the second picture. In addition, it looks like there is another hairline crack on one of the feet. I can't tell if it is a manufacturing thing of a flaw. Finally, the entire piece has some paint loss and some small chips. The rack measures about 14 1/2" across, 17" tall and 7" deep. Still very pretty, it will make a useful addition to any room. 3 Antique Italian Florentine Gilt/Tole Fleur de Lis Green&Gold Shelves-RARE-VGC
Offered is a set of three(3) Antique Italian Florentine Fleur de Lis shelves. These shelves belonged to a man I bought a house from and I was told they belonged to his grandfather. The gentlemen I bought these from was about 70 years old then(I didn't ask his actual age. But he was pretty old and had never lived in another house, other than the house I bought from him) Now, this was back in 1990, when I bought the house and I literally fell in love with these shelves and although I was just a novice collector, the previous owner knew he had something special. I had more money than brains, back then, and I paid him whatever it was he wanted for them.I do not recall the actual $ amount, BUT I recall having to go to a bank to acquire the funds. Anyway, I got them and since hubby and I are trying to downsize, these just have to go. They are ... morenot without flaws.There are some scratches/place s missing paint. As shown in the photos but I don't feel any of the mars distract from the overall lovliness of the shelves(that is my opinion) There is a pattern to the top of the shelves. As shown in the photos and one shelf has a pretty good scratch on the shelf top. There is a piece of tape on the back of one of the shelves and that shelf's back sticks out maybe 1/8" or so from the shelf top. It is securely attached and the hanger is also attached to the back, but not to the corner where it belongs.please see photos and be sure to ask any and all questions prior to bidding. Finding three matching shelves from over 100 years ago, probably closer to 150 years ago is rather unusual, if not unheard of.

This is a vintage Italian tole three cup candle holder. Table candelabra, girandole. These are becoming extremely difficult to find in any condition and can be quite expensive. Incorporates gilded Italian tole leaves with faceted drop prisms. Entire candle holder is done in gold gilt or Florentine gold leaf. Circa 1930s or 1940s is my estimate. There is some minor age loss to the finish in some places, but overall condition is very good. Nothing ... moreunsightly and this piece is very attractive. Original condition. The prisms on this piece are gorgeous. They are cut crystal and not cheap molded glass. They sparkle beautifully. Stands about 10.0" tall and 9.0" across. On the back it is printed in black"Made in Italy" and there is also a sticker from a Colony furniture store in Detroit and a number. The carvings and etchings are super special on this tray. You can see that some of the work is clearly done by hand. Just look at the etching on the interior.so pretty. This one has a super thickness which indicates that it is an oldie(mid 50's? It is made of a light balsa wood otherwise referred to as"paper mache" It also has an old fashioned hanger attached. 19-Piece Vintage Italian Gold Gilt Toleware Tole Florentine Coasters Trays Italy
A lot of 19 vintage Italian toleware coasters or small round trays. The 16 small coasters measure appx 3-1/2” in diameter. The 3 larger coasters(presumably for a wine bottle or water carafe) measure appx 4-1/2” in diameter. There are only 2 large coasters in the pictures but I found one since I took the pictures. They are rimmed in gold. With gold and multi-color geometric and floral designs on the base. The reverse is gold. I don’t know whether this is real gold. There are fourteen unique designs and two pairs of the same design. In the smaller coasters. They are in normal pre-owned vintage condition with a few“age spots” see photo. Some are more shiny; some are a little dusty/grimy from storage but I don’t want to clean them for fear of doing it improperly and damaging the surface paint. I always thought they were carved from wood but after ... morelooking closely. I think they are probably some form of composite or plastic.
