TWO(2) ANTIQUE TOLE TRAYS This auction is for the two hand painted tole trays in the photos. These trays were rescued from a dusty attic at an estate sale on Long Island. The round tray measures 19 ½ inches in diameter. The rectangle shaped tray measures 15 inches by 20 inches. Each tray has a flat black base with gold accents around the edge and hand painted flowers in the center. The detail of these flowers is truly amazing and to have last all these decades. UNIQUE HAND PAINTED FOLK ART BATEA VINTAGE WOOD TOLE TRAY BOWL. Primitive LOVELY
This cool Batea/ Tole Tray was purchased in 1985 at an estate sale. It is in just about the same condition it was purchased in. The paint is chipping. The wood is cracked in 2 places but it is so beautiful. I am selling it because I don't have a place to display it while I am remodeling my home and by the time I am finished I won't have a proper place for it to be admired and enjoyed. I am not really sure whether it is from Mexico or not but I am pretty confident it is. The couple's estate was full of treasures from their world travels and this bowl was really special to them. I didn't know them but I am sure they would be happy knowing that someone else will love and enjoy this piece. It is large and lovely, very cool and would make a neat addition to a primitive decor or really any decor for that matter.

This antique sign came from my grandparent’s home in Kansas(and they lived there for all of their 80+ years) And was kept inside their breezeway porch, at the main door to the house. My mum and dad brought it back to their home in the 1970’s after my grandparents passed away. And from then on, it hung outside our family’s side door in the garage. This sign was made locally in Columbus, Kansas, and is hand-painted and designed, measuring 27.5” long, 8” wide and ¾” thick. Painted black on all sides, the front is brightly colored and there are scenes of a red barn with a white“picket” fence, a white farmhouse with a green roof and a heart shaped design on the front of the house, a whimsical brown cow and a wife and husband with three children: two girls and a boy. BAUERNMALEREI painted step stool. Perfect for kitchen needs. Imagery is not American tole painting but a Bavarian folk art known as Bauernmalerei. The imagery here includes a roses. Garlands, raspberries, etc. Hand painted design appears half-finished but sort of makes for an interesting piece. Painted in the last 40 years by an artist who studied the style in Germany but painted this here in the US. Unsigned probably because it was not finished. Stool measures 18 inches long. 7" wide and 8.25" tall.

Vintage Tole Hand Painted Folk Art Covered Tin Ware two handled not perfect
This piece of hand painted tole came from a Cape Cod Antique collector's Estate and though it is quite distressed I thought it was beautifully hand decorated. It reminded me of PETER HUNT"S work but I have no idea if this could be his or not. The tole painting is highly defined and intricate. The main two handled tin measures 4 1/2" high and 9 1/8" diameter-handles are damaged and the rim of the handled cover(handle is also pushed over) has separated- there is paint loss but with all this I feel this is a beauty.
