Great item to add to collection of vintage toleware/trays. 16.5" x 13.5" x.5" Age unknown. Appears to be of 1940s era. THE FINE PRINT: I make every effort to describe condition of item. This is a vintage piece and in condition to be expected for its age and usage. Paint flecked in numerous spots. Two separate dents along edge. Two punctures on rim. Vintage metal tole tray. Hand painted toleware. Black tray with a floral pattern and goldtone trim. Measures approximately 17" by 13 1/2" It is in well preserved condition with still bright popping colors. There is a small dent in the middle and a spot where the paint chipped away on the dent(top part of large pink flower in the middle) signs of wear from age and use, but still a beautiful tray! From a cousin’s estate we have a large black metal tray. Hand painted toleware– most likely from the 1950’s. The front has beautiful roses in yellow. Orange, pink and light pink with gold trim around the edge. It is octagonal oblong shaped with a fancy lattice work around the edge and handles. The back has a tag that says Fine Arts Studio Hand-Painted Phila 47 PA. I'm not sure when that dates it. But I think that is the 50’s. That's when this type of stuff was more popular. Some of the paint has flaked off on the flowers in the middle. It still a pretty nice piece of nostalgia! Great for your collection! Nice estate sale find. This large toleware serving tray is in very good condition. Black background with a colorful floral motif in lilacs and mauves with green foliage and gold corner graphics. Measures a generous 16" x 12" with a raised 1 3/4" rim. Cut out handles and punched round hole design on the long sides. Minimal paint loss on the top side- there is one corner with a small amount of rust(see 6th picture) The bottom side has normal counter wear for this type of serving piece. Vintage Hollywood Regency Tole Lamp French Bouillotte Style Black Metal Shade
You are bidding on a fantastic vintage tole lamp in the French Bouillotte style. The lamp measures approximately 25.75" tall from bottom to top of finial. The base is approximately 7.25" wide at it's widest point. The shade meaures approximately 15" in diameter and is approximately 6.5" tall. This lamp features 3 candle style sockets that take standard size bulb stems. A classic tole metal shade, and the original arrow shaped finial. It's black in color with fabulous gold detail embellishments. The lamp works beautifully. The switch can be twisted to 4 different positions-off. 1 bulb lit, 2 bulbs lit, or all 3 bulbs lit. One of the plastic candle socket covers has some cracking. This could easily be replaced or positioned to be conspicious. Antique Black and Gold Trimmed Metal Toleware Document Box
I can recall this box in my family's posession in the 1940's. It has the name"Miss Anna B. Fairman" printed on the front. But that is not a family name that I know about. It is in the shape of a cash box at 11" wide by 7 3/4" deep by 4 3/4" high. The hinges are broken as though, lacking a key, it was opened by breaking the hinge. My recollection was that it was referred to as a"death box" as though important papers were kept in it and to be opened after death. The box is probably native to Santa Clara Valley in California, but could have been brought from Illinois in 1920 by my grandfather to California. It has been cluttering up my storage for 30 years and needs a new resting place.

The primary color is black and the trim. Tops and bottoms of the holders are painted in gold gilt with a tiny flower in the centers. Interestingingly, it appears the artist included their initials of“WB”at the bottom between the two holders. This piece includes the hole for hanging on a wall and is ready for immediate use for any match– old or new! The only point of interest to be made regarding its condition is some minor bending of the trim on the bottom under the right hand holder. It has loss to the gold paint. Vtg tole toleware metal table lamp.Mustard yellow with black stripes,accents
As it is now it is 20"H. Two condition notes. One. There is a very shallow dent on one side. Does not stand out at all. It's very minor. The other is that I believe there was a metal frame that held up the shade. For now it works to just rest it atop the bottom half but the bulb peeks out above the top this way. Jerry rigging a couple old wire hangers would work. The base is weighted for support. You could always repaint it if you don't like the original yellow finish. The lid is tight and in place but you have to give it a nice push to close tightly. Back hinge is a little worn and metal is open in one small area. There are some typical dings, dents but no major damage. Pretty good shape considering it's age. Inside has original portions of newspaper lining. I love to use these to store my bags of cat food!
