This listing is for a little antique metal toleware trinket box. I got it at an estate sale. It is only 4" x 3 1/2" It has velvet lining that has some stain in it. The stain is the shape of a hair pin. On the inside of the lid it says: Seasons Greetings from Greenman-Company. There are a few scrapes here and there. But I thought it was pretty unique and that someone may want it. Thanks for looking.

Measures 17 3/4" long by 14 3/8" wide by 3/4"tall. This is a very primitive piece circa 1750's handmade tray handpainted toleware piece. Has a women on one end of cart. A man on the other end with a dog and a child in front of the cart of apples. Even though it has wearing, some rusting, dents, a couple of old repair areas and a few tiny holes and slits, it is still a very wonderful, old primitive piece. Zoom available for a closer look. It is made to look like Magnolia( flowers and leaves. Please be sure to see the other collectible items we have listed. FEATURES: This wall hanging is made out of heavy wrought iron metal and has been sculpted to look like branches with magnolia flowers and leaves. At the bottom. There is a large metal bow that is tied around the branches holding them together. Each of the flowers are very detailed with ridges on each of the petals. Antique Black and Gold Trimmed Metal Toleware Document Box
I can recall this box in my family's posession in the 1940's. It has the name"Miss Anna B. Fairman" printed on the front. But that is not a family name that I know about. It is in the shape of a cash box at 11" wide by 7 3/4" deep by 4 3/4" high. The hinges are broken as though, lacking a key, it was opened by breaking the hinge. My recollection was that it was referred to as a"death box" as though important papers were kept in it and to be opened after death. The box is probably native to Santa Clara Valley in California, but could have been brought from Illinois in 1920 by my grandfather to California. It has been cluttering up my storage for 30 years and needs a new resting place.

I purchased this antique/vintage toleware metal tray at an estate. It does show used in condition and wear as well as some surface rust type places that I tried to get pictures of. I uploaded 10 pictures hoping they will speak for themselves. The description and the condition. Again, does show surface wear and has been used, there are places where the black color has worn and surface scratches and places and surface wear on the bottom as well. There's also some, what looks to be a lighter color of paint that dripped on it or got on it at one time on the outside of one of the corner's. You will hopefully see these places in the pictures. It's a big tray measuring approximately 21 1/2 inches side to side and approximately 16 inches top to bottom. It has the etched open designs along the raised edges/sides with a place for your hands ... moreon each side for carrying. It looks like an old one. I wasn't able to get any history on it. I purchased this antique toleware bin/tea caddy in New York State. About thirty years ago. I am not sure of its exact age, but I would feel confident in saying it is at least 19th century, judging by the painting style. It is likely to be older. The body of the piece is in excellent condition, with no visible dents or breaks. As expected with very old toleware, there are signs of use/wear that I have tried to capture in the above photos. The piece measures 7 inches in width, 7.25 inches in height(at highest point) and 7.33 inches front to back. 4 Metal TOLEWARE TRAYS VTG Antique Primitive Amish PA DUTCH HandPainted Folk Art
From the Pennsylvania Dutch. These are 4 hand painted metal Toleware trays. They could be from Amish or Mennonite families. The trays measure 13-3/4"+ x 10-1/2" with rolled. Rounded corners. The original color of the metal was blue. The background is black on all 4 trays with a general theme of red, white and green throughout the trays. The rims were once painted red with white and green dots. The first image is of a buck& doe. The 2nd is a heart. The third is the tree of life with gold apples. The last is a dove life bird. All trays have condition issues with rust coming through on the bird tray. Please use the Zoom feature to carefully look over the tray for scratches and paint loss.
