TWO(2) ANTIQUE TOLE TRAYS This auction is for the two hand painted tole trays in the photos. These trays were rescued from a dusty attic at an estate sale on Long Island. The round tray measures 19 ½ inches in diameter. The rectangle shaped tray measures 15 inches by 20 inches. Each tray has a flat black base with gold accents around the edge and hand painted flowers in the center. The detail of these flowers is truly amazing and to have last all these decades. These trays do show their age with some patina. Scratches, and other marks. This all adds to the warm charm to add to your décor and appear as if they have been part of our family for decades. Measures 17 3/4" long by 14 3/8" wide by 3/4"tall. This is a very primitive piece circa 1750's handmade tray handpainted toleware piece. Has a women on one end of cart. A man on the other end with a dog and a child in front of the cart of apples. Antique Vtg Tole Gold Gilt Metal Rose Pedestal Sawtooth Edge Crystal Bowl Italy
GORGEOUS antique vintage elegant cut crystal bowl with saw tooth edge atop a tole gold gilt metal pedestal adorned with three full bloom roses and leaves. Measures 5 5/8" Tall x 6 1/4" Across the top x 3 1/2" Across the bottom metal ring. FRAME: bottom of metal frame has a large leaf design inside a round ring with a stand in the center. The sepals of the rose are turned downward while the rose flower is upright. The leaves and roses are soldered on to the frame. All elegantly covered in gold leaf gilt in a distress pattern. The roses and the leaves cannot be moved. There is a spacer between the frame and the crystal glass bowl. BOWL: crystal bowl has a large starburst pattern on bottom. Saw tooth edge design is on the outer of rim, the inner part of top is smooth, really unique design. The side panels are beautifully done ... morein a round cut pattern with large X designs between the round pattern. Little metal hangtag on the stem of one of the roses reads: ITALY. Displays beautifully. Perfect piece for just about any room in your home. The frame and bowl do separate. Just unscrew the frame from bowl. This is an adorable antique metal table lamp. Painted with tole style. This whimsical lamp is made like a drum majorette or dancing girl. It is red and cream complete with a red drum major hat that clips on the light bulb. The bulb has a painted face. Antique Black and Gold Trimmed Metal Toleware Document Box
I can recall this box in my family's posession in the 1940's. It has the name"Miss Anna B. Fairman" printed on the front. But that is not a family name that I know about. It is in the shape of a cash box at 11" wide by 7 3/4" deep by 4 3/4" high. The hinges are broken as though, lacking a key, it was opened by breaking the hinge. My recollection was that it was referred to as a"death box" as though important papers were kept in it and to be opened after death. The box is probably native to Santa Clara Valley in California, but could have been brought from Illinois in 1920 by my grandfather to California. It has been cluttering up my storage for 30 years and needs a new resting place.

This is a charming little tray made in the Toleware style. It is made of thin steel with pink painted flowers on a yellow enamel background. The tray measures 14" by 8.75" There is some wear on the enamel especially on the edges and on the bottom where it was set down- see photos I honor of my mother-in-law who passed away from leukemia in 2010. Rare 19th C Constant Joseph Brochart Lithograph Tin Art Tray You are viewing a Very Rare Antique Lithographed/Painted Tray based off the Original Artwork of French Painter CONSTANT JOSEPH BROCHART(1816- 1899) I believe this tray dates to the mid to late 1800's. But I'll leave it to the experts to determine it's exact age. The tray depicts a stunning image of a Victorian woman. There is what appears to be a family crest near the woman's right shoulder(please see photo) The crest looks like a Sphinx within a shield with a crown on top. Near the woman's left should is Constant Joseph Brochart's printed signature. It reads CJ BROCHART(please see photo) The lithographed or painted image is in Good shape showing bold colors and detailed graphics. From my brief research. I believe that this piece may have once had a decorative ... moreouter rim, but I'm not 100% sure. It does have some condition issues, even though it displays nicely. The lithograph or paint shows very subtle crazing. There are a few chips to the finish, mainly along the outer rim(gold gilt) The tray is bent somewhat out of round as seen in the side views. It is no longer perfectly round. The back of the tray shows loss to the cream colored finish. Despite the flaws mentioned. This remains a very scarce piece that still displays well.
