Description PLEASE READ ALL! Up for sale is a Church Holy Water Sprinkler Aspergillum! The holy water sprinkler is in good shape with some wear here and there but would look great on display(see pics) The sprinkler is made out of what appears to be brass and has a wooden handle. The sprinkler measures a little over 12" long. There is a crack in the brass bottom of the cylinder(see pic 4-6) It is the whole length of the bottom part of the cylinder. It wouldn't be seen on display if that side was displayed down. It still has its sponge inside the sprinkler brass part. Which can be seen when the top is twisted off(pic 8) There is no makers mark that I could find on it and not sure when it was made/used. vintage Genuine 1881 Confirmation certificate & antique wood picture frame 14x16
This listing is for an antique wood picture frame that contains an authentic 1881 Confirmation certificate. Both are used/pre-owned. Please read the Condition section for further details on how they grade. The Confirmation Certificate is in a foreign language which I believe to be German It is hand dated Mai 1. 1881(aka May 1, 1881) The certificate measures 9 and 1/2 inches by 11 and 1/2 inches. The certificate shows several dramatic religious images(see Scan 2) culminating with Our Lord, Jesus Christ, crucified on the cross at the center near the bottom. Though I can not read German, this is obviously a Christian religious certificate. There are two signatures just above Jesus on the cross, see Scan 4. One of those is most likely a priest and the other possibly could be a Bishop as Bishops normally preside over Confirmation ceremonies There ... moreis some small print under Jesus on the cross(see Scan 5) which reads" LITH.U.VERLAG V. LEOPOLD GAST, ST. LOUIS- 1628 SECOND CARONDELET AVENUE" and in really tiny print underneath that it reads" ENTERED ACCORDING TO ACT OF CONGRESS IN THE YEAR 1875 BY LEOPOLD GAST IN THE OFFICE OF THE LIBRARIAN OF CONGRESS AT WASHINGTON D.C. The picture frame's exact measurements are 14 and 1/2 inches by 16 and 1/2 inches. The photo area within the frame is 9 and 1/2 inches by 11 and 1/2 inches. The outer edge of the frame looks to be adorned with hand carved wood. See Scan 7. There are depressions along the frame's edge by design which have small circles inside them which looks to be how that edging is attached to the framework underneath. I am NOT an expert with picture frames. When I saw the 1881 certificate inside the frame. And the clamps on the back of the frame look like they have not been disturbed in decades, it is my presumption the frame is nearly as old as the certificate. if not older. Vintage religious medals rosary wood cross huge lot Sterling Creed silver medal
Religious Rosaries Pieces medals–Wooden crucifix huge lot- Please look at the pictures- too many to describe all of them One medal on chain is the 4 way metal. On the back it says I am Catholic. Please call a priest. It is marked Sterling Creed. St. Joseph medal says St. Joseph Pray for US. It is round and measures 1” across. On the back it says 925 Italy and it has looks like Rni symbol not sure what this is. Rosary with purple beads appears they were tied onto a heavy string. Appears hand made. Large Rosary with the Glow in the Dark Beads– all connected– very nice Rosary with pink mauve beads with little swirls in them. The beads are very nice and are oval with a darker line down the sides of each bead. Please look at the pictures. Which show more than my descriptions. The center medal has Mary with praying hands beside her shoulder on ... moreone side and the Sacred Heart of Jesus on the other side. The crucifix measures 2 ¼” long x 1 ½” wide. On the back on the bottom it says Italy but the letters are very faint. Rosary beads– Great for repairing other rosaries- Crystal beads very light see thru pink. This is the standard rosary with the 5 sections of 10 beads and the Our father beads in between. These are pink beads with the gold filigree caps on both ends of the beads almost covering the whole bead. This measures about 18” long. One section has come loose from the rest of the rosary. The links are all there but need put back together. Please look at the picture. The crucifix measures 2” x 1 ½” across. It does say ITALY on the back. The center medal is of Mary and on the back it also says Italy but no other markings. Really pretty rosary. Black beaded rosary– Use for repairs– It is missing a couple of beads and has been taken apart in a couple of places. Most of the rosary is together. But maybe can use this to do repairs. Many of the links are still very solid but a few have been pulled apart. The crucifix is not attached. But is black wood surrounded by the silver metal. It says Germany on the back
