Antique / Vintage Ornate Brass Umbrella Stand 1900? Free Shipping
This statement piece stands at approx 28.25 inches tall and weights about 6 pounds. The handle has three" wave" like bumps. The edge of the umbrella is trimmed and so is each panel. The base is simple( please see photo) I don't know much about it except that its been passed around for years and years. I believe it to be brass and copper. Travel back in time with this vintage umbrella rack. It has a charming Art Deco look. Standing about 17" tall and 10" wide. The black metal cone sits insides the gold frame. Both the cone and the frame show signs of wear, but it is still in decent to good condition for its age. It is probably from the 1940s. There are no markings on this piece other then the#s 2& 13 stamped into the back near the bottom. This could mean it was made in February 1913? We just don't know for certain. Here is a vintage or antique brass stand for umbrellas. Walking sticks, canes, etc. This is an estate sale find from a home with many antiques and nice furnishings. I don't know its age but it looks old, is well made and has a heavy cast iron base. It is also a space saver and will fit against a wall with its semi-circle shape. There are 3 finials and four separate sections at the top. Overall this piece is in excellent condition. The brass has some patina and needs polishing(has some green marks-see photos) The iron base has very minor wear from where the umbrellas hit the base. Sold as found. vtg church office library industrial wood umbrella cane stand drying stand rare!
Up for consideration is a piece that immediately caught my eye. Measuring 38" x 14" x 32" high. I believe it may be an old umbrella& cane stand, from a church, or any public place or large office area. It would hold 40 umbrellas, etc, Alternatively, I have been told it may have had an industrial use, such as a drying rack. I'm not sure of the wood, but others say either teak or(most say) oak, with a(lead? lined bottom which dips to a drain hole& tube. The wood appears to be in great condition, other than discoloration, and what appears to be a small screw hole& mark from a washer, at each end. I did no more than lightly brush& dust it off, but applying a wood restorer product has been suggested. It is a heavy and a very sturdy item, and certainly draws attention. JUST in from England! British"Stick Stand" Approx 21 1/2"H 22 1/2" W X 8"D Fantastic British stick stand used to hold canes& umbrellas. This one is large& rectangle- many times found in hallways and entrances to pubs and restaurants. Condition: Good solid condition. It is made of wood& covered with repousse copper( perhaps some brass) and the inside is lined with metal. It has a large ship on the front& two really neat lion head handles on each side. The back has not been hammered. There is a lot of patina to this piece. All the metal is aged& there are 2 small spots in which the metal has a hole& you can see the wood container. One is on the outside in the back top corner(picture# 6) and there is one area I noticed top left inside(picture#8) Otherwise it is very solid& study with no significant ... moredamage. It shows age but yet the wood frame. Bottom(bottom is very good Picture#12) etc. makes it a solid piece. This was given to me by a good friend who couldn't fit it in her home after she inherited it. I do not have the space for it now. It is in good condition. But has a few flaws. The quality of the wood is amazing. The drip pans are iron and a beautiful shell design. There are a few flaws which are in the pictures. tiny chip in marble top. missing left side bar which holds umbrellas. It is a clean cut. Must have come loose and then unfortunately lost. Bottom of glove box is missing a bar under it to hold up the drawer. Easy fix. Mirror was removed during transport. In very good condition though. Email any questions. I am negotiable.
