Big Tole Toleware Painted Floral Primitive Wood Wooden Spoon Fork/Spork Vintage
28" wooden primitive toleware spoon and fork(which is more like a spork really) They have orange-ish painted flowers on there. They sorta look like poinsettias but the color seems wrong. The finish or lacquer? has turned gray and is crazing/flaking off. It does give it a very shabby chic look. Some paint has went with it but not bad. They feel very"dry" but it is because of the flaking finish. I would leave them exactly like they are but spray with a clear polyurethane to preserve them in their current state and keep them from further deterioration. In AS IS condition. Vintage Wooden Tole Heart Painted Tray in the Manner Of Peter Hunt Circa 40s/50s
A beautifully hand painted heavy wooden tole tray or bread board with iron handles. It is painted in the style of Peter Hunt but is unsigned. I would estimate that it dates to the 1940s or 50s. The condition is very good with wear consistent with age. A nice patina. It measures about 10 3/8" across, 12 3/4" if you include the handles. This is a vintage Italian Florentine wooden box that has hand painting and gold gilding. The scene features a group of cherubs dancing around a tree and several in the tree as well as women and cherubs playing in the background. It's a beautiful and detailed picture which is printed and glued onto the box. The box has floral detail edging on the top and repetitive motifs around the edges on the rest of the box. The color is a deep green and gold metallic gilding that has been washed with an antique finish. The box has a metal hinge and is varnished wood on the inside. There is a paper card that says"This Italian wooden article is hand-crafted in Florence gold leaf is applied to the prepared wooden surface. Shabby Chic Tole Painted Wooden Box
Very sweet box. Tole painted with soft pastels, gently distressed, nice and clean. Great item for storing cards and letters, momentos, jewelry, collectibles, what have you. There is an area in one corner of the outside bottom which looks a bit of a mess, but this piece is not meant to look perfectly new anyway. It's very solidly constructed; the latch is attractive and in good shape, but the hinges do have a little bit of rust. Tole Art Wooden Plate with Horse / Stallion – Painted – Very Nice!
Gorgeous wooden decorative plate decorated in tole art style. In the middle there is a painted horse/ stallion. The remnants of the back price tag appear to be in a foreign language. The plate measures just under 16” in diameter. The plate is in good. Used condition, with the expected signs of use and wear. There are a few small nicks on the surface. Along with some notable scratches. Some surface debris has accumulated in certain places, giving the piece some staining with texture. In certain lights, scratching can be seen throughout the plate- and it's hard to tell if this is part of the grain of the wood or varnishing of the plate. The back has some scuffing. All of this is mostly noted on close examination. With the piece hanging or on display. I do not find this to be readily apparent. Overall. This is a beautiful large original Antique Florentine Italian Carved Distressed Picture Frame. Just a wonderful piece. Distressed creme white gold fragments of paint over beautiful old wood grain with a lovely rich patina, the inner edge is dark. This is the real deal, beautifully old and aged, not repainted to look old. Condition is very nice with chipping typical on older Italian frames. The wear of paint and patina is evenly dispersed. There are some surface cracks and chipping throughout. One corner shows a spot where the wood has chipped. All in all a lovely aged antique frame perfect for a mirror or picture.
