On the side near bottom there is a slight rough area about the size of the palm of a hand on the metal surface and small amount of paint wear in this area and near the very bottom rim(see photo) bottom looks ok to me, minimal wear, upper top rim shows a couple of areas of small indent areas where metal is slightly turned in- not serious in my opinion but needed to mention will be sold as is. Vintage(Probably 1950's) hand painted waste basket by NASHCO PRODUCTS of New York. In excellent condition. Very clean and wit out dents. Paper label still on the bottom. Gold paint is still on the top rolled rim and on the pattern on the back as shown in picture 2. The painting on the front looks just painted with a pink rose and perhaps violets or wisteria or lilac and maybe a yellow rose. The inside is perfectly clean. There is one barely visible scuff pictured in pic 6. The paint is still there but there is a slight scuff. The bottom has very slight speck size paint loss in spots. Measurements are 13" tall X 10 1/4" wide X 7 1/4" deep. Very nice reticulated or pierced decoration around the top. The color is a cream with pinkish tint. S&H will be calculated. The body of the basket is an off white with gold flowers. Brown leaves and burnt red/burgundy colored roses. The bottom has minor dents with interior rust spots. There are additional tiny rust spots as shown on the front of the can mostly above the painting. An Italian Florentine trash or waste basket. My guess is that it dates from the 1950's to 1960's era. It stands 10 1/2" high and is about 10" across at the top. It has ornate gold decoration with a green background. Condition is good. But it definitely has been used. The inside is quite dirty and stained. It has some green streaks and stains which was probably original to the piece when it was made. The exterior is in nice shape, but does have some spoting and scratching. On the bottom is a paper label which reads"Florentia/ A decorative craft/ hand made in Italy" There is also an embossed stamp"Made in Italy" A nice decorative waste basket! Lovely Italian Florentine Trash Can Waste Basket Italy Tole Nashco
Up for auction. I have this lovely vintage Italian florentine waste basket by Nashco. I purchased this item at a local estate sale. The basket measures 10 1/2" tall. The bottom is embossed: Made in Italy Trademark and it has the original Nashco paper label. It is made of wood or some kind of composite material. This trash can is in very good used condition; however, it was used and the inside has some discoloration. It displays nicely and is quite usable. An excellent piece to add to your decor!
