This is a beautiful old porcelain silent butler. It is made by LJ in Japan. The piece is nicely decorated with flowers and gold trim. The piece is in very good condition. No chips or cracks. The handle and thumb tab become a little loose with use but are easily re-tightened. The butler is about 10" long and about 3" tall. We accept credit cards through PayPal. Vintage Hand Painted Floral Toleware Silent Butler Nash Co. NY Estate Find
I am offering for your consideration a Beautiful Vintage Nash Co. Hand Painted Floral Silent Butler. This Lovely Piece came from an estate and I was told it was very old and that it was Toleware. I do not know this for sure) It is designed in a Blue and is decorated with Hand Painted Flowers and Leaves. There is a Gold Tone Trim around the edge. There is a Wood Handle. There is a Tag on the bottom that says: Hand-Painted. Chip and Alcohol Resistant, Nash Co. N.T.M. N.Y. I can't read all of the writing) The Silent Butler measures approx. 10 1/2" long. Approx. 8" wide and approx. 1 1/2" deep. The Top of the Silent Butler is in real good condition showing little wear. The Handle is a bit loose w/ the lid but it still works perfectly. I'm sure it can be tightened. The Metal does show wear with rust.as you can see in my ... morephoto's.it is primarily on the edges and bottom. The inside does have some pit marks. Up for your consideration is this vintage Toleware Silent Butler which I have recycled and given new life. This was in pretty rough shape when I got it. It was sanded down and then painted with a traditional Halloween scene. Once finished painting it was sprayed with a matte acrylic sealer for protection. It should be cleaned with a damp cloth only. It measures 8 inches wide. And 5 1/2 inches from top to bottom(not including handle) and stands 3 1/2 inches tall. This cute piece would make a great addition to your Halloween decor and would look great displayed just about anywhere. Please feel free to ask any questions you may have and check back often. For your consideration is this Unique Silent Butler or Crumb Catcher. It's made of metal with a rich cream colored background. Lovely hand painted roses adorn the cover in shades of pinks. Yellows, and green leaves. The usual gold tole designs embellish the edges. The shape of the piece has eight sides. And the metal handle curls down at the end. This silent butler is oval in shape. It measures 7.25" long. 4.75" wide and 2.50" deep. I did not imclude the handle in the measurements. Toleware was popular in US kitchens in the 18th and 19th centuries. The trade began in Europe in the first half of the 18th century, a little later in the United States, and had all but ceased by the end of the 19th century. VINTAGE HUNTER GREEN HAND PAINTED TOLE ROSE SILENT BUTLER BOOK BOX. Measures 7.75 inches in length. 5 inches in width by 1.5 inches in height. Beautiful hand painted roses adorn the top of this box in the colors of pink with green leaves and gold colored flourished accents. The top is slightly arced in design with enclosed dual hinges attaching the lid to the box with a finger-loop and tab to open. Boxes such as this were used to sweep crumbs into off the table. Gorgeous piece to compliment any décor in the home!
