New York hand painted small scalloped Tin Tole Tray featuring hand painted fruits in the center depicting a plump orange, seed dimpled strawberries, and highlighted grape clusters. PLEASE NOTE this piece is NOT marked but is identical and came from same NJ estate as the fruit tray that sold last week. They were probably once a pair. Nashco Products made a line of colonial revival hand painted tin serving trays in the period 1920-1950 post war years reminiscent of the antique pieces sold by peddlars house to house in the horse drawn wagon days. Now. In a growing homeowner America, where consumer demand for retail products grew, they found their niche in creating lovely tin articles for kitchen ... moreuse and display. This vintage watering can is red tin with yellow daffodils. Beautiful Garden Art Toleware that was a barn sale find. Holds water and pours water superbly. Measures 12" long from tip of spout to back of can; 5 1/2" tall. As you can see there is surface rust and a few spots where there is paint missing. Small Primitive Vintage Hand Painted Toleware Tin Box Hinged Lid Spice Box or? I had the wonderful opportunity to meet and shop with another ebayer seller from out of town recently- a real catfish moment. Because we’ve talked for years, but never met! No surprises, just all fun and did we shop until we dropped! I have lots of very cool items for you that I will be listing all week. Enjoy! This old box is somewhat of a mystery to me. It's made from a metal that a magnet stick to- and it's light and definitely has the feel and weigh of tin. But if you look closely at the inside, it has a patination that looks very much like the pattern on galvanized steel(but this doesn't have the weight of steel) Look at my inside photos and see what you think- it's a first for me. The other thing that would support whether it's galvanized ... moreis that, although the metal shows darkness form age, it does not have rust- there's rust colored spots, but I do think that is from the paint. Whatever it's made of, it's held up very very well.this one is a charmer. Measuring 3" square and 2 1/2" tall, it is the size of the spice boxes that I have seen, but there's no name etc. on it. It weighs a smidge under 1/4 lb. It has a lovely hand painted finish- the background of the body is gold, and the top and bottom are black, and they are accented with flowers on all 4 sides in shades of rust, green, burgundy and grey. The top of the lid, and the sides of the lid have thin line hand painted borders too. The hinged lid works perfectly, and the lid fits well, and stays securely in place. It really is in excellent solid and sturdy condition overall- I can't find a ding. There is wear to the finish all over in small scratches and scrapes- it's easier to see at the solid black on top. There's also some palpable small white spots on all 4 sides- see photo 4 for a good example- those aren't paint chips, those are something on TOP of the paint- it feels like paper to me- as if this was wrapped i

Estate found.this is one of the most charming toleware trays I have ever come across! Vintage and signed. This tray depicts a scene of a chipmunk or squirrel perched atop a piece of wood seemingly conversing with a grasshopper. Beautifully painted flowers, mushrooms, berries, nuts/acorns and leaves all done in warm autumn colors. This piece is signed, but it is very hard to make out the name.possibly Rosa Pope/Popa? This is a gorgeous decorated box that measures 11.5" by 8" by 2 5/8" high. The box is made of wood and is painted a shiny black with a brightly colored bird amongst flowers. Fruit, and leaves. The box is divided inside and the separate lid fits on top. There are several tiny scratches on the box and missing paint chips, so please use the photos for condition. The last photo shows the"worst" paint scrape on the front. Big Tole Toleware Painted Floral Primitive Wood Wooden Spoon Fork/Spork Vintage
28" wooden primitive toleware spoon and fork(which is more like a spork really) They have orange-ish painted flowers on there. They sorta look like poinsettias but the color seems wrong. The finish or lacquer? has turned gray and is crazing/flaking off. It does give it a very shabby chic look. Some paint has went with it but not bad. They feel very"dry" but it is because of the flaking finish. I would leave them exactly like they are but spray with a clear polyurethane to preserve them in their current state and keep them from further deterioration. In AS IS condition. UNIQUE HAND PAINTED FOLK ART BATEA VINTAGE WOOD TOLE TRAY BOWL. Primitive LOVELY
This cool Batea/ Tole Tray was purchased in 1985 at an estate sale. It is in just about the same condition it was purchased in. The paint is chipping. The wood is cracked in 2 places but it is so beautiful. I am selling it because I don't have a place to display it while I am remodeling my home and by the time I am finished I won't have a proper place for it to be admired and enjoyed. I am not really sure whether it is from Mexico or not but I am pretty confident it is. The couple's estate was full of treasures from their world travels and this bowl was really special to them. I didn't know them but I am sure they would be happy knowing that someone else will love and enjoy this piece. It is large and lovely, very cool and would make a neat addition to a primitive decor or really any decor for that matter.

Primitive Vintage Hand Painted Italian Florentine Pepper Mill Pepper Grinder Busybusybusy treasure hunting week for you. I shopped at a closing antique store. Went to the flea market, and still have some items from the weeks ago farm estate auction- there’s lots of neat stuff that you don‘t want to miss! Gosh. It seems like such a long time since I have seen a nice piece of Italian Florentine- and this is a striking, usable piece. It's a wonderful wood peppermill, hand painted in the oh-so-florentine fashion in vivid gold, red and turquoise blue(the colors are beautiful) It's marked on the bottom, Made Italy, and then with a C* C. The mill measures 12 3/4" tall and is 2 5/8" diameter at the base. It weighs just over 3/4 lb. It's in excellent solid and sturdy structural condition and as I said, works great. I put in a ... morehandful of my own peppercorns and ground away, and it worked very well. As with so many old Florentine pieces, this is a rustic piece, that shows lots of wear to the finish. There's general wear to the paint like you see in photos 3, 9& 12, and chippy wear to the paint, like you see in photo 11. In photos 3& 9, you can see that half of the top rim under the blue painted cone shape has its paint worn down to the wood- clealy where it has been held for use. Directly under that, in photo 12, you can see a 1 1/2" long by 1/2" spot that is not worn down to the wood all the way, you see mostly the white under the colored paint. Most of the wear is in the used places, or on edges, but there are some spots on the body that are small, and you see to the white layer of paint/primer. You can see rustic crazing/crackling of the paint from age all over. The wood shows very minor wear- nicks, scratches, scrapes and dings not inconsistent with age and use. Allllllll that being said, I wouldn't change a thing- it's primitively perfect to me! If you are a Florentine lover, you love shabby pretty like I do, and this beauty had me at hello. This is an old metal(magnetic) box painted in the folk art style of Peter Hunt. Showing a man, woman with Rooster/Chicken, hand painted flowers eggs-hand painted on all four sides.
