Vintage Metal Hand Painted Floral on Black Tole Tray Toleware Shabby Cottage
Vintage metal tole tray. Hand painted toleware. Black tray with a floral pattern and goldtone trim. Measures approximately 17" by 13 1/2" It is in well preserved condition with still bright popping colors. There is a small dent in the middle and a spot where the paint chipped away on the dent(top part of large pink flower in the middle) signs of wear from age and use, but still a beautiful tray! No rust. Back side of tray has scratches. Pretty tray with keyhole handles. All of my items come from a very non smoking home. Vintage Shabby Chic Cottage Yellow wood TOLE TOLEWARE TRAY Description& Details This is a shabby chic wood toleware tray measuring approximately 23 1/2" long and 16 1/4" wide. The floor of the tray is distressed light yellow with bright yellow checked squares. The turned up edge is also bright yellow with cut out handles. It has a shaded red rose in the center with a yellow rose on each side. There is also a red ribbon. Shaded green leaves and a light blue butterfly. The edge of the bottom is gold striped. There is a small hairline split, don`t know if it`s the wood or the paint and the seam where the gold stripe is has separated a bit. Nothing drastic but thought I mention that for accuracy. This tray is a little and heavier than some of the more lightweight trinket trays I have been painting. Again. I have distressed it on purpose for a vintage, romantic, shabby chic look. This auction is for a shabby but cute hand painted paper mache tray of a bird and fountain. Only marking on back is alcohol proof. Burgundy, hunter green, teal and French blue. Gently scalloped edges trimmed with gold. This a vintage tray and the front of the tray has all of the usual little nicks and rubbings that come with age but it's still quite lovely and if you're like me and find beauty in imperfection, you will love this tray. The back of the tray has many scrapes, a bit of surface rust and a few strips of double sided tape that could be removed with care.
