You will receive this vintage 23" x 12' x 1" Tole painted metal tray with cut work. It has been used and needs a good cleaning. It has a ding on one corner and a few spots of paint loss. But nothing major. The pictures tell the story. It is a beautiful bright yellow color with grapes. Flowers and foliage. It's fully serviceable as a tray or a piece of wall decor. This charming toleware serving tray is unmarked but my guess is that it dates from around 1940. The color and decoration is rather unusual and distinctive. Painted green, it has a golden trim on the rim and hand painted white daisies in the center. A nice. Useable, not too large size, it measures approximately 12 5/8" long x 10 1/4" wide. Obviously. It's old and used but still seems to be in very good condition. There are a few worn spots- mostly at edge of center(see next to last pic close-up) and a hard to spot smudge of dirt or wear through the center daisy. This is a pretty 12" tole tray. Black with a muted gold and burnt orange fruit and floral design. I am only guessing its age based on other items at the estate sale at which this was found: sometime between 1920 and 1940, it may be earlier. It has been used a lot or poorly stored, or a combination of the two. There are a couple of obvious large scratches on the front and several smaller ones. There is quite a bit of paint loss around the rim. Some where red paint shows through which I first thought was part of the design. The back is more severely scratched. There are no dings or dents. I have done NO cleaning of this piece as I normally do. This is an estate piece in shabby condition being sold as found. As is. The tray has a checkerboard design in gold and aqua blue. Or light turquoise. I believe it is made of a light weight wood, possibly balsa. It measures 11 1/2" diameter and 3/4" tall at the scalloped rim. This tray is in excellent condition. It shows no sign of use or abuse. Measuring approx. 24-1/2" x 12-1/2" I purchased this at a Boston estate sale and was told it was given to the mother of the owner in 1948 as a wedding gift. The edges are reticulated with holes as handles at either end. It is in typical vintage condition: scuffing. Scratches, paint loss, and one small dent(see the last three photos) It weighs approx. 2 lb, 11 oz. The center features an arrangement of flowers including roses. Vintage Italy 12 1/4" x 7 1/2" Florentine Tray
Here's a pretty tray that is signed Italy on the back. It is an antiqued gold with green. Red and yellow accents. There is paint loss to the yellow. Other than that, no chips or cracks. A little wear to one handle which is where I believe a sticker was affixed at one time. Great size for a collector. Measures 12 1/4" x 7 1/2" Please ask questions as all sales are final on my vintage items.
