Antique Red Metal Drum Majorette Lady Costume Tole Ware Lamp 9.5" Silk Cord OLD
This is an adorable antique metal table lamp. Painted with tole style. This whimsical lamp is made like a drum majorette or dancing girl. It is red and cream complete with a red drum major hat that clips on the light bulb. The bulb has a painted face. This bulb will have to be replaced as it has come apart at the base) It will be included so you can paint a new face on your new bulb. The black switch is in the back center and is engraved with an L. The base is black. Copper and green. It is complete with two stick legs that probably covers the electrical. This lamp has a long gold silk wrapped cord with a two prong plug. This lamp has loss of paint and several scratches. It is amazing that it has survived this long! Shade is included. And may be packed in a separate package for safety reasons. This is a nice Italian tole metal flower table lamp. The lamp has metal flowers and leaves in various soft pastel colors. Below the flowers is a marble and gold painted wood base. The marble is very nice and has a translucent quality to it. It has an embossed"MADE IN ITALY" attached metal tag. This is an authentic piece of vintage Italian tole. Not a modern reproduction. The lamp measures approx. 22 1/2" tall from the base to the top of the socket. With the shade it is 33 inches tall. This is from an estate sale in Boone. Iowa and it is in great condition for its age of over 50yrs. The only signs of age I could find is that there is a very shallow chip to gold paint on the wooden base, which could be easily repaired with a little acrylic paint. Measures a full 11 1/2 inches tall. The original shade measures 5 inches tall. 3 7/8 inch top diameter and 5 7/8 inch bottom diameter. The back plate measures 5 inches in diameter.
