Vintage Italian Shabby Gilt Tole Wood Boy/Court Scene Pictures Florentine Chic
This is a set of small Italian vintage wood pictures that my parents bought on one of their many trips to Italy. The pictures have wood frames and are under glass measuring 3 inches round by ½ an inch thick. The frames have nice rich gilt paint with incised accent lines and dots. The back is covered with paper and they are stamped“Made in Italy. They have the original hangers on the backs. They are very dainty and late 18th. century style pieces. They are at least 30 years old and in good condition. The one with the royal court scene has two small spots where the gold paint has worn off on the side of the frame: at 1 o'clock and 4 o'clock. It cannot be seen from the frontal view. Three 5 7/8" x 4 3/4" in frames. These are hand painted flowers on either white milk glass looking plastic or glass. Very unique but I know nothing about them. Discovered in my Nan's attic.
