These are 2 unusual small containers. The one is wooden and the top is tole painted and the name is Melano. So possibly it came from Italy. It is 2.25" across and 1.25" high.In very good condition. The other is a metal container, It has a lid that looks like it could be a type of polished stone. The sides are etched. The bottom has some discoloration as I have shown in the picture. Big Tole Toleware Painted Floral Primitive Wood Wooden Spoon Fork/Spork Vintage
28" wooden primitive toleware spoon and fork(which is more like a spork really) They have orange-ish painted flowers on there. They sorta look like poinsettias but the color seems wrong. The finish or lacquer? has turned gray and is crazing/flaking off. It does give it a very shabby chic look. Some paint has went with it but not bad. They feel very"dry" but it is because of the flaking finish. I would leave them exactly like they are but spray with a clear polyurethane to preserve them in their current state and keep them from further deterioration. In AS IS condition. Shabby Chic Tole Painted Wooden Box
Very sweet box. Tole painted with soft pastels, gently distressed, nice and clean. Great item for storing cards and letters, momentos, jewelry, collectibles, what have you. There is an area in one corner of the outside bottom which looks a bit of a mess, but this piece is not meant to look perfectly new anyway. It's very solidly constructed; the latch is attractive and in good shape, but the hinges do have a little bit of rust. Tole Art Wooden Plate with Horse / Stallion – Painted – Very Nice!
Gorgeous wooden decorative plate decorated in tole art style. In the middle there is a painted horse/ stallion. The remnants of the back price tag appear to be in a foreign language. The plate measures just under 16” in diameter. The plate is in good. Used condition, with the expected signs of use and wear. There are a few small nicks on the surface. Along with some notable scratches. Some surface debris has accumulated in certain places, giving the piece some staining with texture. In certain lights, scratching can be seen throughout the plate- and it's hard to tell if this is part of the grain of the wood or varnishing of the plate. The back has some scuffing. All of this is mostly noted on close examination. With the piece hanging or on display. I do not find this to be readily apparent. Overall. From the early 1970s. Exquisitely tole painted wooden wine rack portraying a Scandinavian girl and boy bordered by hearts on an antique green background. Look at the detail- it is so very fine with the artist capturing each and every minute aspect of every object- the girl's shawl. Lace, cuffs, scarf, and skirt; the boy's tunic, belt, sleeves, bag, pants, boots and basket. My photos are the best descriptors in this case to show this artist's mastery. The interior, long sides and end edges are covered with decorative complementary papers. The antique green and gold long sides are cut to hold 6 bottles of wine. The handles are open hearts. Here is a lovely vintage rosemaled plate from an estate. It is not signed. The lady who owned it had parents and grandparents from Norway and many Norwegian articles. I am not an expert in this type of item. So actually not entirely sure that it was made in Norway, but the estate sale company said they thought it was, judging by all her other items and her reverence for Norway. It is in very nice condition-no chips, cracks, repairs or loss of finish to speak of. Was very nicely cared for. It measures about 9.25" in diameter and has a hook in the back for hanging. There is a 1/4" hole in the center, back. I believe the words mean"Give us this day our daily bread" Very pretty colors and the paint strokes are visible-clearly hand painted. European Floral Tole Painted Oval Lidded Wooden Box - German Early 1980's
This beautiful container is made of light weight wood and measures approximately 4 1/4" x 3 1/2" x 1 1/2" Flowers are painted on the lid and around the sides of box. It makes a nice decorative storage container for small items. In good used condition. Hand painted from Germany. Circa 1983. Ships with tracking.

Vintage Hand painted Tole wooden Tray With Rooster and flowers PRIM
Sweet vintage serving tray made of wood and hand painted in a folk art toleware style. Border is black with built in handles. Trim is painted in gold tones. The inside flat part is mostly gold with vines, leaves, blue flowers and two large pink flowers. In the center, a big happy rooster! Tray is showing it's age. I have NOT tried to clean it. If you look you'll see scratches. Rust stains, yellow stains around the edges, it's really primitive. Would do well in any retro kitchen, french country when you're doing the shabby look, or just for the lady that likes chickens! Hand painted. Made in Japan, marked ISCO. Measures 16.5" x 11"

Up for grabs is this gorgeous old black hand-painted tole serving tray with a folding wooden stand. It's big- a bit over 24 x 18 inches. The legs are 18-inches tall. I don't see any markings/label on tray. There's a tiny bit of rust in the edges and on the back as you can see in photos, but nothing serious. Legs are good shape! It's a beaut! This is a vintage tole painted oval wooden bowl. It's a nice small size with a single strawberry on the vine inside the bowl. Green trim on the edge, and cream colored paint on the outside and bottom. It isn't signed and is in good condition without any chips or cracks. It has a few spots of wear and scuffing to the paint. Wood TOLE PAINTED BOX black wooden document chest VINTAGE storage TOLEWARE
This very old box has some history. I'm just not sure what it is. It looks as though it may have originally been decorated with inlaid shell and then painted over. It has some type of thin metal lining that is peeling away. The overall height is 11.5" and 13.25" wide, 8.25" deep. Inside measures 6.5 x 11.75 and almost 9.5" deep. Hinges are brass color and show signs of age, with flat screws. If I can answer any questions about this, please don't hesitate to contact me.
