PR. of 19TH CENTURY GREEN PAINTED TIN TOLE DECORATED ARGAND LAMP type SCONCES
This is a wonderful and scarce Pair of 19th Century Green Painted Tin Tole Decorated Argand Lamp type Sconces. They each measure approximately 9-3/4" tall. The construction of cut and rolled edges and form matches on both examples. The hand decoration shows similar characteristics. But with subtle differences, leading us to believe they were decorated by different people in the workshop. Both show a ge appropriate wear and losses to the paint decoration. Only one retains the removable fuel tank inside the housing. The other retains only the top visible portion of the fuel tank. There are minor dents. Wear and losses as shown in the photos. The only visible markings are hand written'No 294' on the back of each. We lean towards an American origin attribution. But we leave that final determination to the buyer. The form is not often ... moreseen. Let alone with original decoration, they would certainly be a wonderful addition to any early lighting collection or to accessorize a 19th century country or primitive setting. These are 2 unusual small containers. The one is wooden and the top is tole painted and the name is Melano. So possibly it came from Italy. It is 2.25" across and 1.25" high.In very good condition. The other is a metal container, It has a lid that looks like it could be a type of polished stone. The sides are etched. The bottom has some discoloration as I have shown in the picture. It is 1.75" long 1" across 3/4" high. Both very pretty.

Pair Antique Painted Tole Lily Flowers Set Into Decorated Terracotta Pots
This pair of tole flowers were set using plaster into two 4 1/2" diameter terracotta pots and stand 19 1/2" tall. The pot alone is 4" high. The flowers come out of the plaster and can be rotated in any direction. The metal flowers are in an original old painted finish. We added the black decoration to the pots some years ago. We believe them to be mid 19th century and French.

Antique Chippendale gilted Tole painted metal Tray peafowl floral decorated
Offering an antique Chippendale tray all original with beautiful early peafowl and floral decoration. Rare with a deep mustard base and gold gilt decoration around the molded edge. Piece measures LARGE at approx. 31" by 23" and shows age appropriate wear. Not a newer look as you would find on one from the 1950s. Notice hand tooled rolled edges shown on the back of the tray. Hanger came on it and is included. Would look fantastic over a fireplace mantel!

Antique Hand Painted Toleware Tole Bowl PA Dutch Wash Bowl Decorated Basin
Here is a beautiful antique. Pennsylvania Dutch, hand-painted, toleware bowl or basin, with a great motif of stylized flowers with leaf y stems. Both inside and out. The decoration goes all the way around the bowl and has great color and style. This bowl has a great rolled rim. And it measures 16" in diameter on top. 11" in diameter on the bottom, and is 5 1/2" tall. It is in excellent condition, although slightly out of skew. There is no rust on this piece, although there is gentle edge wear consistent with being antique. The bowl is made of five pieces of heavy-gauge tin or steel all welded to gether. A great piece of Pennsylvania toleware in a rare shape and size! Please note. The shipping quoted is for the lower 48 states.
