And when open, the left side has a medieval print of Giotto's Painting of St. Francis of Assisi, entitled"San Francesco Parla Agli Uccelli, the right has St. Francis' A Simple Prayer"see photo) When open the icon measures 11 1/4" wide. Closed, 5" It is 7 1/2" tall, the back, at the spine, is incised: G. SERRAGLINI FIRENZE. It is in good vintage condition; double hinge is sturdy; some gilt has flaked, slight scratches appear on the outside cover, and there is a small chip on the inside corner. Magnificent Floral Tole Tray Nashco Hand Painted Superb Colors Signed Francis
Auction is for a tole painted tray that measures approx 20 x 15 inches. We have tried to figure out how we could use this in our kitchen and have finally just decided it is not gonna work. We love the colors. It is handpainted and almost has a 3-D look. The colors are so rich and the painting is perfect. Signed Francis on lower right. It has the original sticker on the back. Nashco Products. NY. We searched for a long time for a great colorful tray with a lighter background and this was it. The tray shows a little wear around areas of the rim. See photos. Does not detract from the tray. Gold rim as well. The larger scuffs in the photo are on the back. I've no idea when it was made. Please email with any questions. Vtg Nashco Tole Painted Tray & Black Wood Folding Stand Toleware Signed Francis
This is a beautiful hand painted Nashco metal tray with a fine vintage black wood folding stand. It has a great bright tole painted fruit still life signed Francis similar to chippendale trays. The stand is painted black and folds flat as shown in photo 12. It has rubber cup tops which support the tray. Photo 11 shows the Nashco label. Photo 2 is without flash but with sunlight on the tray. beautiful! The condition is good. The tray has no dents. But does have some minor scratches on the top side as seen. Also there is some gummy residue from a label to the left of the signature which you might see in photo 10 and some of the other photos. The worst scratches are on the back side as seen in photo 11. The stand is very sturdy and has no loose joints but still folds easily. The rubber cups are cracked by age(photo 8) so they have no suction ... morefunction, but they do support the tray securely. The dimensions of the tray are 19.5" by 14" by about 1" On the stand. The tray stands 19" high.
