New York hand painted small scalloped Tin Tole Tray featuring hand painted fruits in the center depicting a plump orange, seed dimpled strawberries, and highlighted grape clusters. PLEASE NOTE this piece is NOT marked but is identical and came from same NJ estate as the fruit tray that sold last week. They were probably once a pair. Nashco Products made a line of colonial revival hand painted tin serving trays in the period 1920-1950 post war years reminiscent of the antique pieces sold by peddlars house to house in the horse drawn wagon days. Now. In a growing homeowner America, where consumer demand for retail products grew, they found their niche in creating lovely tin articles for kitchen ... moreuse and display. Many of their production wares are easily found, but tend to be overized trays difficult to store and use in today's smaller dwellings. This petite tray is only 7" x 8" with a scalloped gilded edge all original as made.a nice little winter fruit salad grouping of yellow gold and dark red colors of the season all on matte black surface front and back fully painted. This little gem is in excellent perfect condition for the tole collector complete with wire stretch wall hanger ready to go for any small space anywhere in your home. The hanger was twisted during photo shoot. I have straightened and tightened it now to perfection. ANTIQUE 19c OHIO TOLE TOLEWARE FOLK ART PRIMITIVE COFFEE POT UNIQUE SPIRAL TOP
It's real old and has been well used.There's as much weight in solder in this as tin and it even has a patch on the inside.There's not any dents in it and it's not rusted out but it's has been repaired in several places with what looks like different kinds of solder from different eras of repair.I'm not sure if the copper bottom came with it originally or not.It could have possibly been added to it or it could have been made that way.I'm just not sure.From looking inside of this I'm sure it was red originally.The brown painted backround has a textured feel to it and it's been beautifully hand painted by someone who was a very talented artist.The metal piece that holds the lid on permantly is broken but it will stay on and go up and down without a problem because theres enough of it left to easily take the ... moretop on and off.It has a unique spiral on the lid.I havn't seen another top like it and wish I knew who made it.It's 11 1/4" tall and the base is 6 1/2" wide.This was purchased at a antique shop in Ohio by a relative back in 1942 and was recently rediscovered in a box wrapped in a newspaper from 1975.The paint job on this is in excellent condition and was like this when it was purchased so it was painted over 70 years ago.It's water based paint and is really balanced.It just has several holes that have been repaired with solder.It's a neat unique piece of history and artwork but just don't have a place for it that's why it's for sale.This is a one and done ad as far as relisting it is concerned.If it doesn't sell I'm going to wrap it back up in the same newspaper and put it away in the same box for my grandchildren and hope they will appreciate it.I'm charging a flat rate of $20 to properly pack and ship this with $300 worth of insurance.If you have any questions just ask.

Notice the birds painted on each end of the dome lid. There are a few areas that are worn, like two front corners of the lid but not at all bad. Fun vintage silent butler that features a woodland scene of trees. Spotted deer, cattails, and those little red dotty mushrooms we all know and love. Big Tole Toleware Painted Floral Primitive Wood Wooden Spoon Fork/Spork Vintage
28" wooden primitive toleware spoon and fork(which is more like a spork really) They have orange-ish painted flowers on there. They sorta look like poinsettias but the color seems wrong. The finish or lacquer? has turned gray and is crazing/flaking off. It does give it a very shabby chic look. Some paint has went with it but not bad. They feel very"dry" but it is because of the flaking finish. I would leave them exactly like they are but spray with a clear polyurethane to preserve them in their current state and keep them from further deterioration. In AS IS condition. This cool Batea/ Tole Tray was purchased in 1985 at an estate sale. It is in just about the same condition it was purchased in. The paint is chipping. The wood is cracked in 2 places but it is so beautiful. I am selling it because I don't have a place to display it while I am remodeling my home and by the time I am finished I won't have a proper place for it to be admired and enjoyed. I am not really sure whether it is from Mexico or not but I am pretty confident it is. The couple's estate was full of treasures from their world travels and this bowl was really special to them. I didn't know them but I am sure they would be happy knowing that someone else will love and enjoy this piece. It is large and lovely, very cool and would make a neat addition to a primitive decor or really any decor for that matter.

Beautiful. Large metal tole painted hanging wall holder for mail, letters, magazines, etc. in a lovely antiqued mustard color. Has 2 compartments, with the top one larger for magazines or larger envelopes, and the smaller bottom one for letters or whatever( Has a hole near the top for hanging. This is not a new piece(vintage? but I don't think it is particularly old, although it has been used as evidenced by some minor scratches and wear marks. The last picture shows the largest scratch, but it is not glaringly noticeable in the entirety of the whole piece. Up for consideration is a fine pair of original black painted Tole Candle Sconces. These date mid 19th Century or earlier. They are unmarked but more than likely come from the Eastern United States Pennsylvania. They measure 10 inches by 3 3/4 inches wide by 2 1/4 inches deep. They have nice pie crust crimping along the top arched portion of the Wall Sconces. They have wonderful coloration and more or less are in exceptional condition with no visible repairs. Old French Tole Flowers Daisies Metal Chippy Petals Leaves Wall Towel Primitive
This is a fabulous old French tole double hook kitchen towel or linens holder. With beautiful yellow daisies with orange centers, and dark green leaves. This wonderful old antique linen/ hand towel rack has two curved hooks with ball finials. It is in outstanding condition with no repairs, and very little loss of color, there is some mild surface rust as I show. The daisies each have 16 petals with no bends or breaks, and each daisy has a bright orange raised/ dimpled center. Overall measurements are 6.5” wide x 7.5” high, the front hooks protrude about 1.5” out, and there are two“keyhole” type hooks on the backside for hanging on the wall. The colorful paint is all original, it has a few chippy areas as expected, but there are no repairs or missing bits. This antique sign came from my grandparent’s home in Kansas(and they lived there for all of their 80+ years) And was kept inside their breezeway porch, at the main door to the house. My mum and dad brought it back to their home in the 1970’s after my grandparents passed away. And from then on, it hung outside our family’s side door in the garage. This sign was made locally in Columbus, Kansas, and is hand-painted and designed, measuring 27.5” long, 8” wide and ¾” thick. Painted black on all sides, the front is brightly colored and there are scenes of a red barn with a white“picket” fence, a white farmhouse with a green roof and a heart shaped design on the front of the house, a whimsical brown cow and a wife and husband with three children: two girls and a boy. ANTIQUE TIN TOLE TRAY OAK LEAVES ACORNS VTG PRIMITIVE BLACK COPPER PAINT COUNTRY
This is a wonderful STURDY HAND PAINTED TIN TOLE BLACK AND COPPER SERVING TRAY WITH LOVELY STENCILED OAK LEAVES AND ACORNS. The tray measures 17 3/4" x 12" x 1" Tin Tray is heavy gauge of definitely antique type. And has been repainted years ago in 1950's with appropriate copper powder style stencil design-design is now over a half century old on an older tray! The lady who consigned this tray said that her mother painted tin ware for other people. I do not know if she was a professional. But the painting is exquisite. The stencil work is done Hitchcock style with a stencil and then enhanced with hand painted areas. Oak leaves line the outer edges with the most wonderful abundance of acorns around a center rectangle. This artistry is synonymous with circa 1830-40's Sheraton American decoration seen on fancy chairs. ... moreCandle snuffer trays, and tea caddies so famous in that era. The newly growing"modern improvement" society all over typically New England states and homes craved this motif. Regency was out the door, and stencil lacquer was"in" as the newest fad. Those early trays which saw hard use and became worn were often candidates for repainting years later in period style, such as this one. The condition of the tray is quite good. The front is in very good condition but there are a few chips on the back. It appears that there has been some overpainting on the back, also. A really lovely tray. Email me with any questions.

Up for auction is an antique 19th C tin toleware tole tray recently found at auction in the suburban Philadelphia PA area. It is found in good used condition. But quite used, dusty losses to paint, bent edges and normal losses from over 150 years of use. There are rust spots on the reverse side. This tray approximately measures 8 1/4 x 11 3/4" Despite these losses, this is still a quite nice antique toleware tray. It is both hand stenciled and freehand painted. Very nice piece of toleware. Up for auction is this vintage stenciled tin with a cover. The small tin measures 5 ¼” in diameter and 3” deep. Flowers have been stenciled in gold paint on the cover and side of the tin.
