This is a wall plaque. It has a girl on it. It is signed by the artist on the front. Whose name I cannot make out, and the back is marked: Made in Italy. CONDITION: This is in Good As-Shown condition with scratches. Dirt, a few small chips in the wood, and some goldtone wear/minor loss. For your consideration we are offering this lovely pair of wood toleware Florentine art plaques. The wood plaque have art prints of the artist Vernon Ward. The wood toleware plaques have the characteristic gold with white finish. The backs have the original paper stickers which give the following information: Made in Italy. And an explanation as to the characteristics of antiques Florentine plaques. The finish is made to have imperfections and applied antiqued look. The paper also has the style number and the company. The plaques art prints are traditional in style. One is of a beautiful young lady seated at her dressing table; admiring herself in a mirror. The other art print is of a traditional young lady with a bow and arrow in a forest setting. Both the prints are of art by Vernon Ward.
