Vintage Italy Florentine Gold Gilt Gesso Ornate Wooden Wood Trinket Box
Here's a very old Florentine wood with a gesso design. Gold paint/gilt trinket box with a romantic picture on top. It's small, measuring 4" square and is a little over 1 1/2" tall. It has 2 crude metal hinges on the back. The gold paint isn't perfect, and is scratched up here and there due to age, especially on the corners, but it is still nice and the gold paint that is there shines very brightly and it displays very well. I guess you'd say it has a very nice, overall patina. You can see how old it is by the inside of the box. The wood is sturdy. These boxes that have the gesso are the hardest ones to find if you are into collecting Florentine stuff! Shipping via USPS will be $3.00. I'm always happy to answer your questions.

Gilt wood carved and marked Made in Italy The outside of the frame measures 6 inches by 7 inches. There is no glass and no backing and the inside measurement is a 4 by 5 inch with rounded corners. The mirror m easures approximately 19 1/2 inches long by 12 3/4 inches wide. It's in good condition for it's age with light scratches on the mirror and a chip(see photos) There's also some gold paint loss. The wood may of cracked on the lower right hand side. But it didn't go all the way through to the other side. All in all it's a nice vintage piece with lovely patina. The Wall Shelf measures approximately 19 1/2 inches long by 5 1/2 inches wide. There are ornate flowers in all 4 corners. The surface is painted a gold color but is worn and scratched-just adding to their charm. The glass is held in place by a piece of wood in a slot in the top-one has a piece of wood and the other does not. Ornate Vintage Set of 2 Gilt Wood Pictures From Italy (1900-1940)
this is a set if 2 Vintage reproduction of Italian scenes. they have a nice gilt around the edge. that are balsam wood and the size is 4" L x 3" H. There is some cosmetic marks them. due to there age wear. they are made in Italy were in Italy I do not know.

Measuring appx. 12 by 8 inches; ornately carved in excellent vintage condition; there is one area which appears to have a split in the wood, it is not uncommon and doesn't go through or affect the integrity of the piece.
