Early 19th century grease lamp complete with it's original adjustable trammel mechnism. Circa 1760-1810. Similiar examples can be seen in the Rushlight Club's book Early Lighting as well as other references on Colonial period metalware and interior furnishings. The bottom pan of the piece would have been filled with grease or oil with a burning rush reed placed into the pan. Additionally a small open pan lamp could be placed on the bottom with the pan acting as a platform. We found a small open pan lamp with the piece thats slightly later(likely mid 19th century) and are including it with this auction. As you can see the piece is complete with it's original ratchinging trammel mechanism. Allowing the user to vary the length of the piece to meet various illumination needs. In it's shortest state the piece measures 29" in length. Expandable to 41" The pan itself measures 6"x 2 3/4" x 3/8" Some slight pitting and oxidation expected from age though overall a very good++/near fine example. Vintage Hollywood Regency Tole Lamp French Bouillotte Style Black Metal Shade
You are bidding on a fantastic vintage tole lamp in the French Bouillotte style. The lamp measures approximately 25.75" tall from bottom to top of finial. The base is approximately 7.25" wide at it's widest point. The shade meaures approximately 15" in diameter and is approximately 6.5" tall. This lamp features 3 candle style sockets that take standard size bulb stems. A classic tole metal shade, and the original arrow shaped finial. It's black in color with fabulous gold detail embellishments. The lamp works beautifully. The switch can be twisted to 4 different positions-off. 1 bulb lit, 2 bulbs lit, or all 3 bulbs lit. One of the plastic candle socket covers has some cracking. This could easily be replaced or positioned to be conspicious. Vintage Tole Lamp Black 'N Gold Federal/Colonial Design ; Awesome!
This is a Beautiful Vintage Black and Gold Tole Lam p colonial/federal design( about 40 years old or more which makes it used or pre-owned) It is black with hand painted stenciled in Gold designs. It has some scuff marks here and there but nothing that actually deters it from looking wonderful. The electric cord is secure and the switch works fine. Considering it's age it's seems to have held up very well. It is 28 inches tall to the top of the tole lamp shade and 30 inches to tip of lamp, 6 inches wide at base( as of which does still have the felt covering very much intact) 40 inches around the widest part of the shade, shade itself is 6 inches tall/long and 12 3/4 inches wide. The base is very heavy and sturdy. Please take into consideration that the flash reflects or picks up every little mark but to the naked eye does not appear ... moreas such. And the marks are not nearly as noticeable. I was asked what the base was made of and as far as I can tell it is metal. The bottom of the base where light switch is, is very heavy and can see in new pic the felt is in place and I do not want to pull it back to see exactly what makes that part so solid and heavy.Also was asked what wattage bulb can be used? Any standard 60/75/100 wattage light bulb should work well.

Vintage Green & Black Tole Lamp/ Light/Sconce
This item is a vintage tole wall lamp. The shade is green with a black design. The ball on the base is ceramic and has a floral design on each side. I'm not sure if the shade and base actually go together. But this is the way I found it. It is in excellent condition. There are a few surface rust spots on the metal shade, but I cleaned it up and you can barely notice them. Vtg tole toleware metal table lamp.Mustard yellow with black stripes,accents
As it is now it is 20"H. Two condition notes. One. There is a very shallow dent on one side. Does not stand out at all. It's very minor. The other is that I believe there was a metal frame that held up the shade. For now it works to just rest it atop the bottom half but the bulb peeks out above the top this way. Jerry rigging a couple old wire hangers would work. The base is weighted for support. You could always repaint it if you don't like the original yellow finish. This Lovely Vintage Black Tole Lamp- punctuated with Golden feature accents- is another beautiful Estate find in great condition. It stands about 20” Tall– measured to the top of its Tole shade as pictured. The Black/Gold Shade has a Bottom Surface Diameter of about 10 ½” and it is about 6” High. The Base Diameter of the Lamp is about 5” As you can see from the pictures. It is in fine working condition. The wiring seems to be good. The Tole Shade sits upon a White Milk Glass Globe. There are two little“screws” that you can loosen to remove it for cleaning or shipping. The White Milk Glass Globe is also in fine condition as is the cream colored interior of the tole shade. I think it is probably a 3-Way Lamp although I only have a regular bulb in it so I cannot say for sure since I don’t have a 3-Way Bulb to try it with. However, when I turn it on, nothing happens on the first turn– the light goes on with the 2 nd turn– there is also a 3 rd turn but nothing happens with the regular bulb that is currently in it. It will NOT be shipped with the bulb. The bulb pictured is only for an example to show that it works

Vintage Mid Century Black And Gold Toleware Metal Wall Lamp
Up for auction is a nice Vintage Black and Gold Metal Toleware Wall Lamp. The shade has scalloped edging around the bottom of it and gold leaf around the center. There is a light scuff on the shade and a couple of places around the edge that the black paint has been rubbed off. It may have had a gold reticulated piece that went around the top edge but is missing. I have seen others listed that do not have that piece so that is why I am not sure it originally had it or not. The shade measures 7 7/8" across and is 4 1/4" high. It has the key style on and off switch. The sconce part that mounts to the wall has gold leaf pattern on the wall plate. It looks like the gold final has been replace. All the paint to this piece is original. The lamp has been tested and it does work. The chimney is included.

Vintage mid century black tole and brass swing arm floor lamp
For sale is a vintage mid century black tole and brass swing arm floor lamp. The lamp is all metal with parts that are painted black( the metal for these sections appears to be brass except for the shade and section in the bulb holder which is aluminum) and other sections that are unpainted solid brass that has a beautiful antique patina. The lamp is about 44 inches tall when the height is shortened as far as possible but it can be extended up to 54 inches. To raise or lower lamp you just pull it up or push it down from the base section. Another awesome feature of this lamp is the fact that the shade is on a swing arm which allows it to be positioned in and out. When it is fully extended it is 18 inches out and when it is fully closed up it extends out 12 inches. The lamp has good working wiring with a good working three way switch. The metal ... moreis in great shape showing little to no loss of paint and only very minor scuffs and scratches.In the picture the base looks like it has a discoloration on it but it is actually a reflection of shade) The shade is in great shape showing no dents or discoloration. There is one section where it appears the shade is not perfectly round. It is very very minor and does not interfere with the overall beauty of lamp. The only way I found it was running my hand around it. Include as a matter of accuracy of description. The base is weighted which provides for a very stable placement on the floor. The lamp comes apart into two sections and will be shipped this way to cut down on the cost of shipping. This is a very nice mid century tole lamp that has great features to it. It will add a great classic look to your home while providing additional lighting.

Very Pretty vintage mid century modern black& gold Tole Toleware Wall Sconce Lamp Light. I think it has a nice colonial look to it but could work for many different decorating styles. It is metal along with several wood pieces(see in pics) The lamp works great(bulb not included) it is light weight and mounts to the wall. The condition is very nice with a tiny bit of tarnish or chipping. Very nice pretty paint, cord is in great condition as well and turns on off with the switch on the cord. It does not come with a shade, I think a gold shade would look great on this beauty but that is only a suggestion. approx. size is 32 1/2" from the round bottom wall plate to the top of finial.
