I have never previously offered chandeliers quite like them: The original candle covers are metal. And have a textured faux finish including drips. I also like how they taper. Very cool. The covers are“held” in place by aluminum. Um, arms. There are also aluminum flourishes at the top and bottom of the chandeliers. There are six arms. Nice, and each holds six amethyst glass drops. These appear to be original. There is an additional drop in the center(these seem to be replacements) The pipe stems are covered in cloth cord. I also love how the arms sweep down and up. The chandeliers are an impressive 21-inches wide. They are 33-1/2-inches long(to the bottom of the cloth tassel) And 26-3/4-inches minus the tassel. If you need the fixtures shorter, I can reduce the length of the pipe stem a few inches. If you need them longer please contact me. I lusted after this exquisite pair for a long time. It was a thrill to at last purchase them. They are so very beautiful; I love just simply staring at them. Wholly restored and with new wiring. I’m certain it’s not earlier or later. I’m certain. Too, as to its beauty. And rarity. I’ve never offered a chandelier like it. All the metal components appear to have a pewter finish. Nice. Each arm has distinctive crystals. The hurricane shades are particularly lovely; that they remain in situ is frankly amazing. I also like the expressive glass stem. The chandelier is clearly modeled after an Argand lamp. From Wikipedia: The Argand lamp was new to Thomas Jefferson in Paris in 1784. Which according to him gave off"a light equal to six or eight candles. These new lamps. While more complex and costly than the previous primitive oil lamps, were first adopted by the well-to-do but soon spread to the middle classes and eventually the less well-off as well. Argand lamps were manufactured in a great variety of decorative forms and quickly became popular in America. This fixture is. Obviously, a delightfully faux Argand lamp chandelier. The chain is original. As is the ceiling canopy. The exposed wire is cloth-covered like the original. I would say the the chandelier. At 17-1/2-inches wide. Is medium in scale. To me. VINTAGE ITALIAN SHABBY FLORAL TOLE METAL CHANDELIER HANGING LIGHT FIXTURE
This is an older vintage antique stunning in person Italian mid century toleware chandelier from an estate auction I bought about 15 years ago. I am clearing out my storage area and found beautiful decorative things I forgot about. I remember a man in his 90s came up to me and said this light fixture cost $1200 new. I do not know if that is true but this older man was some type of decorater and he owned this fixture. The fixture is 18 1/2 tall and 19 1/2" across. It needs to be wires as it has the old original wire. It features crimson redish pink Morning glories and a yellow large flowers. It is in nice condition with only a tiny bit of rust on the edges of the white flower petals that hold the light socket and one light socket tube has a small 1/8" deep flake not worth noting. Italian Italy Toleware Square Hanging Light Fixture Mid Century Modern Regency
We are very proud to offer a spectacular and rare original circa 1950-60's Italian metal toleware hanging light fixture. We have never before seen this boxed shape. It is heavy and in working order. Can be hung and plugged. Chain/ cord about 7 feet long. There is slight wear to the metal. Age appropriate with a tiny scratch as indicated in the image. this is evident upon very close view. Each side has what appears to be a hand-painted(Murano? intricate cobalt glass panel. Note that one panel is missing and two have hairline cracks(visible on close examination) The panels easily slip in and out. If the buyer chooses. The glass can be easily replaced with cobalt slag or other color of their preference. Sold as-is. Vintage French Toleware Candlestick Hanging Light- Needs to Be Rewired
A nice vintage Toleware hanging light. It is in good used condition but will need to be hardwired to a ceiling. Fixture and there are some small spots on the corner edges(see pics) It is a light cream color with gold trim in the French toleware style. It is approx. 17" tall by 10" wide(shade) and the candlestick pieces are 8" tall, A pretty vintage light that will look very nice in any vintage décor. It works! It has one place where the metal came loose. Easy fix for you. The red panels are intact. Measures approximately 15" tall by 17 1/2" wide with a 15 foot cord and chain with a switch to turn it on and off. It should hang ok if you do not want to fix the metal that came separated.
