It features all hand blown glass in a semi-opaque white, with a slight iridescence that gives it a lovely glow. The fixture is about 16" in diameter and about 29" from top to bottom not including the chain, which could be lengthened or shortened depending on your preference. This is a hand painted. Artist signed, metal tray. I recently received about 6 pieces of Toleware by a folk artist in my town named Ann. She was a very accomplished artist and died at the age of 90. She was prolific and painted on many household things. These trays are so beautiful. This one is a Shabby Chic dream. It is french blue with gold edges. There are three pink hand painted tulips. The middle flower has a small area where the paint has peeled and you can see the metal tray beneath. See the photo. This is a Great piece! It measures roughly 14 inches by 10 inches. Heads Up. Tole-A-Holics! This lovely tray has no label or signature. The gold is not flashy. But a deep bronze-y gold, rich, not too metallic. The hand painted floral decoration includes blue, pink, white, and green with a deep-brown/black design around the raised edge. Each flower cluster is accented with Lily of the Valley, one of the prettiest flowers to find on tole. The tray has a serpentine edge as well, very curvy. This tray is probably from the 1950s or 60s when most of these were made. It shows some signs of wear with a little missing paint if you look very closely in the floral cluster with the pink daisy. It is hand painted and signed by the artist. This particular piece is a light pink with gold trim and it has a gold and white floral piece at the center bottom of the tray. On the back of the tray there are some scratches but none on the front. The black and silver Nashco sticker is still in tact on the back of the tray. The Nashco Products Co. of New York City produced serving trays from the 1920s through the 1950s. They were used for serving drinks or appetizers to guests or as wall decorations.
