Vintage Italy Florentine Gold Gilt Gesso Ornate Wooden Wood Trinket Box
Here's a very old Florentine wood with a gesso design. Gold paint/gilt trinket box with a romantic picture on top. It's small, measuring 4" square and is a little over 1 1/2" tall. It has 2 crude metal hinges on the back. The gold paint isn't perfect, and is scratched up here and there due to age, especially on the corners, but it is still nice and the gold paint that is there shines very brightly and it displays very well. I guess you'd say it has a very nice, overall patina. You can see how old it is by the inside of the box. The wood is sturdy. These boxes that have the gesso are the hardest ones to find if you are into collecting Florentine stuff! Shipping via USPS will be $3.00. I'm always happy to answer your questions.

A fine pair of antique italian gilt. Footed Candlesticks, Altar style. Hand carved wood and hand painted in green with gold gilt accents. Beautiful detail and in very good condition with some minor loss of gilt/gesso and some age cracks(see close up pictures) Structurally 100% sound, no real damage and no repairs.
