The leather covereing has nice gilt and colorful checkerboard designs with a Lion Rampant. Shield and Fleur-de-lis on the slightly domed, hinged lid. The inside is dark hardwood. It's unmarked but definitely from Florence, Italy. It is in good condition with no breaks or cracks but expected scuffing, light scratching and some staining to the exterior. 3 Antique Italian Florentine Gilt/Tole Fleur de Lis Green&Gold Shelves-RARE-VGC
Offered is a set of three(3) Antique Italian Florentine Fleur de Lis shelves. These shelves belonged to a man I bought a house from and I was told they belonged to his grandfather. The gentlemen I bought these from was about 70 years old then(I didn't ask his actual age. But he was pretty old and had never lived in another house, other than the house I bought from him) Now, this was back in 1990, when I bought the house and I literally fell in love with these shelves and although I was just a novice collector, the previous owner knew he had something special. I had more money than brains, back then, and I paid him whatever it was he wanted for them.I do not recall the actual $ amount, BUT I recall having to go to a bank to acquire the funds. Anyway, I got them and since hubby and I are trying to downsize, these just have to go. They are ... morenot without flaws.There are some scratches/place s missing paint. As shown in the photos but I don't feel any of the mars distract from the overall lovliness of the shelves(that is my opinion) There is a pattern to the top of the shelves. As shown in the photos and one shelf has a pretty good scratch on the shelf top. There is a piece of tape on the back of one of the shelves and that shelf's back sticks out maybe 1/8" or so from the shelf top. It is securely attached and the hanger is also attached to the back, but not to the corner where it belongs.please see photos and be sure to ask any and all questions prior to bidding. Finding three matching shelves from over 100 years ago, probably closer to 150 years ago is rather unusual, if not unheard of.

Antique Tole French Coat of Arms 44" X 33" with Fleur de Lis Shield
Elegant large French tole coat of arms with various paints and gilt on tin and iron. In the center is a shield with a gold fleur de lis over a bundle of arrows and a pair of horns running vertically. On the sides are regiment banners. There is a metal hook on the top back for hanging as well as two holes on the shield for additional securing if desired. In great condition with an absolute minimum of paint loss and no denting or other damage. Heavy(10 lbs) and large(44" W X 33" T) and with great metal crafting and rich paint. Probably made in France between 1930 and 1970.

Hollywood Regency Italian Florentine Serving Tray Fleur de Lis Made In Italy
Shabby Chic Gold Hard Plastic Faux Wood Painted Florentine Serving Tray Platter Made in Italy. Has rubs. A couple of marks/scrapes and wear. Has Made in Italy on the bottom. Measures approx 12" by 16 1/2" Great detail with scrolls and fleur de lis style fleurs. Has one corner and that edge area slightly raised with a mild lump. Apparently made during manufacturing. The tray is fully functional even with the raised lump. But please be aware of the imperfection. I have tried to photograph it(pics 9-11) There is no evidence that it was heated or burned to cause the hard plastic to raise up a bit. Weighs over 2 lbs. when boxed.
