Great vintage Ransburg tole painted metal waste basket with wooden ball feet. The feet and the filigree edge are painted gold metallic with about half the paint worn away. The body of the basket is an off white with gold flowers. Brown leaves and burnt red/burgundy colored roses. The bottom has minor dents with interior rust spots. There are additional tiny rust spots as shown on the front of the can mostly above the painting. This item is an estate find and as such my description is only my opinion. So check out the photos for your best description. This unique objet d'art has an arena of possibilities! It is a wide basket weave shelf with a pink tones floral toleware motif above a rod from which extend 5 hooks. The hooks could be used for tea towels. Cups, kitchen utensils… The shelf is beautiful as is, or may be put to use-maybe with tea tins, or other such kitchen collectibles. Measures ~ 21 inches wide, a bit over 12.5 inches height and 5.5 inches depth. Measurements are close but approximate. It has some added newer white paint dabs on the creamy natural base. I would not be put off by that though, as it's part of the shabby effect. But if it's not to your liking, a quick splash of old ochre paint would restore it to its original beauty. ANTIQUE FLORAL TOLE WASTE BASKET! Nice older basket of tole metal with flowers all around the outside. The flowers look like hand painted but they are not. Pink daylilies and lots of green leaves, two large motifs that reach around to both sides. Top edge is perforated, holding rings on each side, three little legs on the bottom. Condition is very good, no dents, good shape but lightly shabby with bits of rust and some chipping, very decorative considering its intended use. Could actually be a large flower vase or hold many different ... morethings in the bath or office. Measures 10" high with a 10" top diameter.
