This is a beautiful vintage Nashco Tole Tray hand-painted in neutrals that would look right at home in today's decor. The roses are painted in shades of gold. Bronze, white, cream, and taupe. There are stray marks here and there that can be seen in pictures#5 and#6. Pictures 3 and 4 show 2 spots where the paint is missing from the rim. The back has wear, but the front is in surprisingly good condition. Signed by Artist- Van. Silver Nashco label on back that says Nashco Products, New York. It is hand painted and signed by the artist. This particular piece is a light pink with gold trim and it has a gold and white floral piece at the center bottom of the tray. On the back of the tray there are some scratches but none on the front. The black and silver Nashco sticker is still in tact on the back of the tray. The Nashco Products Co. of New York City produced serving trays from the 1920s through the 1950s. They were used for serving drinks or appetizers to guests or as wall decorations. Trays of the 18th and 19th centuries were painted black with hand-painted or stenciled motifs; French-made pieces are known as Toleware. This is a very large beautiful vintage hand painted metal tray from the 50'S. If you like vintage. You will love this. It is a very heavy tray.That says quality to me. The colors are very soft yet it has the punch of color for a nice contrast. There are some signs of wear on both sides, worn flowers and some scratches. It's the front that really matters. And this has the look that says vintage. The weight says vintage. The painting says vintage.The artist signed the back. Please check out all the pictures.
